It's okay to lose, there is no need to prove yourself to strangers. READ BIO FOR BAN INFO. tl;dr: I used cheats against bots in single player and was a moron that forgot to restart my game.

No, I was not using a third party software to gain an unfair advantage against online players. I used to play Team Fortress 2 a lot and I got bored so, I went into a offline match and messed around with my Cheat Engine against bots (completely harmless in multiplayer). When I left the match, I shut off my Cheat Engine and completely forgot to restart my game. (Once you shut down Cheat Engine, you have to restart the game otherwise VAC still detects it.) So, right when I joined a community server, I got slapped with a VAC.
It sucks but, it was my own stupidity that got me punished. I play on an ALT account named MercyGrave. However, I do not play that often on Steam anymore.

As for the Game Ban, my brother was big brain and decided to cheat on Bo3 when it was family shared.
