10/10 (excusing the jank because everything in this game is so beautiful and ugly and thrilling at the same time)
I beat it and I never want to play it again. Thank you ACE team for yet another banger.
I wish more people would of talked about this game so I would of known about it and bought it sooner.
it's an absolute modern masterpiece.

After doing a full playthrough and adding mods, I wanna say this game is ALMOST PERFECT but it has some issues that make multiplayer infuriatingly slow. It's all well paced until the game becomes Path of Exile in its last act, using a mechanic similar to doing maps. For some reason loot is not instanced. When you have multiple mouths to feed this slows the game waaaaaayyyyyyy down outside of needing to farm new items to help you stand a chance against the ascended threats. It's kind of absurd how the game was nicely paced up until that point.

The worst part is the VERY LAST BOSS has instanced drops. That's actually so absurd to be honest.
All in all I like this game but I wish I loved it. It's just the hostile resource gating at the end threw us off, which at times resulted in one or two of us feeling really underfed.

Also I wish the game had more content. which is a good thing. It's weird to say after 100 hours that I wish there was more. But once you get to the end there's nothing to strive for and it's a bittersweet feeling once you cross the threshold. Maybe one day someone will do a crazy endgame mod for it like calamity that adds a bunch of stuff to it. But until then Necesse is great to start with friends but becomes kinda solo-y at the end unless you and the lads want to grind out every little resource ever for all of you.

The colony management, trading, farming, and so on are all really fun things to do in the background. I suggest waiting on the mods to get further in though as some of them are unstable or undercooked at this current time.

I'm blown away, Severed Steel had to be one of the coolest games of all time. I've even said "I cannot wait for the next one".

That day didn't come but this did, may by the same studio, it's a masterpiece that I heard no one talk about. So obviously I need better friends. This has to be one of the sickest games of all time. Obviously it takes very strong inspirations from games like Titanfall. It has so much of it's own identity though. It's easy to say an indie game "is like this but that" but this game is just down right awesome for being it's crazy self. It took some of the best parts of Severed Steel and amped them up. It's not so much about aura farming slowmo powers and flipping upside down to John Woo the whole quadrant (though you kinda can do that but not as well). It's about skating or dying. Running over dudes, blasting them, finding the weakspots on mechs to send them sky high. It's radical from the very start. The only thing I'm iffy on is the difficulty they advertise. I'm playing on the "for FPS players" difficulty, and when I see one of the fights says "VERY HARD, DO NOT TRY". I aced these challenges first try. I'm not sure if that says more about me or the game. Either way if I had picked this up last year, it would of been my game of the year. Thanks for this guys!

I was on the fence about this game for a while. Then I finally realized I could afford it. Big mistake, it's ruining other games for me already and it's only been 4 hours.
Mycopunk is a combination of Deeprock Galactic's gameplay, Shadow Warrior 2's upgrade system for characters and weapons, Borderlands' character growth. Deadass it's going to be hard to return to the mines after this one. I've had so many rock and stone moments where we pulled victory out of the jaws of defeat just playing with randoms. The community is great so far. Also the game supports gifs in chat. Just type /gif (then a prompt) and it will just put that in there. You'd be surprised at what kind of gifs you can pull up in the chat. AMAZING game so far.

I took my time with this game, streamed the whole thing, tried my best to be optimistic of the whole experience, I even let them get patches out before I pulled any triggers on any judgements. I paid full price for this game like a true fan.

And yet I can't whole heartedly say "You HAVE to play this one".
It runs poorly even on high tier computer equipment and they butchered the ending.
It's similar to a "Tales of" game where the combat is the star of the show. But a Tales game knows how to write an ending that's satisfying and they usually have a fake out or a great reason to keep playing after you beat it. This ain't it. The fake out was lazy and the final boss is just a glorified normal Psycho with very little going on when they built him up to be super cool.

The character writing is good though. Zane is, and always has been him. He will continue to be him till the end of time and it's great to see him in action.

The game loves crashing not only to desktop, but my whole system after 2 hours of streaming (which is different than just playing I know, so your mileage may vary on this) but it has a lot of really annoying glitches that only effect coop partners like bullets not coming out of the gun while spending ammo or arbitraily getting caught on the game's geometry even when you're standing on flat ground with no obstructions.

I'm not sure how a single soul gave this game a 10/10. Borderlands 2 continues to be the best in the series. ♥♥♥♥ Randy Pitchford.

King of Meat has to be one of the more surprising games I've played. I thought it was Fall Guys meets Dark Souls. But it's more like Fall Guys meets Little Big Planet stretched over Spiral Knights. (That's a compliment by the way)

It's actually crazy how little this game has been talked about. Every level just keeps giving and giving and giving in this weird hybrid between Megaman and Kirby. Genuinely hope this developer makes it big because this is an underrated gem of a game. It can be tough and over stimulating at times but it's rad!

Early Access Review
Game hasn't been updated in a year.
While what we played was charming and such a subversion of expectations, there's a lot of balance choices and enemy layout + design that feel lacking and/or very "Quirky Simulator game for youtubers to make vids to" type game which doesn't really translate to it be a quality game to me. While there are things you can cook to boost you and help with the extremely long debuffs you get, I felt it was unneeded survival crafting padding in a game that had me tricked into believing it was about the minute to minute action.
Maybe next year they'll come out with an update worth revisiting other than "Pig is smart".

the game seems like it's on a worse state than it was about 3 years ago. We decided to revisit it for mother's day and there's a lot of ways to soft lock not only yourself, but others in this game. I'm not really sure how a game got worse as time went on but here we are.

Flyknight feels like one of those old school dungeon crawlers. It's on the slower end of FPS action games but it actually works in its favor. Giving you just enough time to think about what limbs to attack on an enemy and when.
There's a strong emphasis on dismembering your foes. If an enemy has a 2 handed weapon that's hitting too hard, you can knock it off and make the fight easier. If you're getting rushed down, kick them back and sweep the legs!
The only real negatives I can think of is that enemies tend to aggro only one player and not swap. Even when the player is dead that enemy is fixated on ravaging their corpse for some reason. Or in one case we had an enemy run up to us, get up all in our faces and it never swung at us. It was comedic and uncomfortable at the same time.

It's only about 3 hours and that's both a blessing and a curse. I streamed this with my wife and it was the most fun we've had together in a long time. I really hope when the dev gets around to dropping another installment for us it's as good as this. I will def check out their next game!
