One of the worst games I've played in my life, humanity has existed for 300,000+ years and the best we can come up with is a game where all you do is shoot cardboard cutouts. Would've been best not to make anything.

Smeary blurfest = better graphics apparently. This mod only looks good on paper, it has higher res assets but they often look more bland than they did in the original, the RTX ruins the atmosphere and art style in a lot of areas and it runs like ass but I don't blame the mod entirely for that, it's just how RTX is.

The only reason this mod exists is to improve the graphics of the original but all you get is a blurry mess with ray tracing slapped on. What's just as bad is the toxic positivity idiots who think you can't say anything about this mod because it's free and fanmade xd. When you put something out there, anyone can criticise it.

It's awful in every way, FSR1 or any of the other upscalers looks worse than just lowering the resolution normally since they're glorified sharpening filters. The frame generation is horrendous—it nearly cuts the real framerate in half, doubles the input lag, and adds artifacts all over the screen, all for a slightly smoother image, even at 2X

This software is perfect for people who wanna cope with their 2007 GPU, I guess xd

Not as bad as people said but still pretty bad, they tried to mix realistic visuals with the cel-shaded style and just ends up looking more generic than anything. Some levels like the canyon are way too bright and vibrant that I almost got a headache from it and are very cluttered. The original had a simplistic comic book look with how it did the environments, weapon models, characters etc which is 10x more appealing than the remake and has more charm.

The weapon animations are mostly awful, especially the pistols since he holds and reloads them like a spaz, and looks like something out of an early access game. The pre rendered scenes look like they're from a pre alpha build with awful lighting, glitches, animations, and don't have the 2022 graphical updates.

The main positive's with this version is that the original voice acting is copy pasted and not rerecorded, the levels are mostly 1:1, it's mostly bug free and doesn't require mods to work, it has a detection meter for stealth, weapon wheel and achievements. Get this on a sale.

It's trash, what's the point of making this in Unreal Engine 5 if it's just gonna emulate the original gameplay 1:1 anyway with no improvements and with the same weapons? Even then it still doesn't feel as smooth as Half Life 2's gameplay and the performance is 10x worse while not even looking that good. In development since 2018 btw lol
