I bought the game went it went on sale and that is the only time I would recommend purchasing this game. The game in terms of graphics are clean as always but they are identical to the first game, along with the game's combat mechanics being identical too. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun and I would recommend people at least try it, but I have played for two hours and already completed both campaigns for both the heroes and villains even with spending 30 minutes at the start just learning combos and messing around in the free fight.
There are obviously other things to do besides the campaign, like PvP. If you are getting this game for the PvP, don't. The playerbase isn't large enough and queue times can take forever. Even if the game was cross-platform, it may be enough to revive PvP a little bit, but not much.
To sum it up. The game was extremely fun but also very very short and is pretty much a clone of the first game, except with more characters and maps.

Don't get me wrong, the Campaign and character design/mechanics are absolutely flawless so it is worth picking up at half price.
However due to all the rampant bugs (That they are giving an ok effort to fix, in all fairness) and lack of fun after the main story-line is over, the game's player-base has died out significantly. In my opinion, the game needs 2 more things in order for my recommendation to turn positive.
1 - They have to implement cross-platform so that the tiny player-bases of each platform can join together, which would significantly speed up matchmaking, which takes tragically long. You are able to use bots but what is the point of a multiplayer focused post-game feature that you can't find multiple players for.
2 - They have to add the ability to replay the campaign without having to reset your progress (Yes at the current progress, you have to physically remove the game files in order to play the campaign again). They have mentioned that they are working on a way to do this but it needs to come out soon for those who aren't fan's of the post-game play.

As a game, this is a lot of fun to play with friends. Only problem is the premium feature. Understandably they need to make money somehow, but hinders your ability to play with friends and also is a bit too expensive. As I said, great game other than that.

Great game and I play it a lot. Only problem I am having is the compatability with Steam when buying the credits. Seems to not work.
