while i did have fun it was really only because i was able to play with friends. Now that being said the multiplayer was super janky and buggy even with the game out this long after launch. We were pestered by the same bugs and the elevator was the hardest boss in the whole game. I really loved the first game and DLC but the story and characters were so polarizing and flat. Every choice was to move the story and felt lack luster and the payoff was so subpar. I was looking forward to the new standalone game but i am honestly worried now that i finished this and saw what the final product was. 5/10 just play the first one again.

Friend and I played through the tutorial and did some of the story mode separately. Overall I thought the story was neat but short according to other reviews (about 3ish hours to unlock) and while the custom games we played were fun at first it got a bit repetitive quite quickly. We turned to try some online match making only to be met with a nearly nonexistent player base. The Other concern is mechanically the slap shot seems wildly unbalanced, but i was not able to really do much testing in online PVP. That being said it seems very reminiscent of Supermario strikers "Super strikes" which were when used were nearly impossible to defend against. For the price point ($19.99) the content just is not really there for me tied with the lack of players i cant recommend it in its current state.

just when they said it couldn't be done they found a way to combine halo 2 and halo 3. The added well-like components make for an enjoyable platforming metroidvania. so far really enjoy the art style and unique atmosphere, tho can be difficult at times I intend to see this one through to the end bit by bit.

On its own its a great take on a digital D&D 5E table top experience with the added benefit of having wonderfully crafted set of characters and world to roam in on your own or with friends. So many wonderful call backs to the previous games for people who are familiar to the series yes stands on its own completely and never alienates new players for not playing the previous games.
My 2023 GOTY by a mile. 170+ Hours of Gameplay even at $59.99 is a Steal.

Might be the least buggy Bethesda launch, but that does not make it bug free. Game is Fun when it works for sure. That being said the Ship combat is very un-balanced and shallow. The Perks/Weapon drops are heavily gated requiring multiple play through or Cheesing XP. If not then you may run into sinking hours into the game more or less having fun only to come to a crashing halt because of game breaking bugs.
TLDR: Wait for patches and mods its still not fully cooked.
EDIT- 6/26/24 - Second look:
Overall they fixed some of the bugs and added features that should have launched with the game that mods were previously required to fix but as a whole this just aint it. Its not enticing the planets a bland copy paste same same. Most of the weapons are still just so boring and un inspired. All of that wrapped with the equivalent of the Gummi ship ship creator and space combat from kingdom hearts 1 from the playstation 2 makes this a huge flop.
then they have the audacity to try to bring back paid mods. Bethesda is a joke or at least who ever holds the strings that ran this project.

I pray they just give the Fallout IP to Obsidian now that they are owned by the same company and go make garbage mobile games or something this is sad.

lack of content waited years for the game to enter a state worth playing again and this isnt it and does not look like it will ever be. it was fun for about 5 hours and falls off VERY quickly after that. i would pass even on sale at this point.

Alot of fun! Even more fun with friends. Game is a mix of air hockey and soccer but comes with a interesting mix characters that have skills and abilities to the feel of league of legends or Battlerite. Community is still growing and hes a nice player base so far with plenty of room to grow. Match Making needs a bit of work at the time of this review but have really enjoyed my time with the game so far and look forward to seeing it grow.

Great story, good music, enjoyable mix between rpg/xcom gameplay.
and on top of that such and excellent co-op game with another friend.

Single player is fun but gets repetitive. Multiplayer when the game was popular was a little unbalanced now there is no one on to play with at all. If you can get it cheap its pretty fun to sail around moving boxes and upgrading ships for a bit.
