Just found some comments about stannis

See, Stannis, as I see him, suffered from a middle child syndrome, possibly for quite a long time. His big brother was a capable warrior, had the respect of many, and finally, became king. His baby brother has charisma out the wazoo, and everybody loves him. I suppose somewhere along the line, he just stopped giving a ♥♥♥♥ about being liked.
Stannis is a man of utter directness and seriousness. He doesn't have time to mince words or ♥♥♥♥ around.

stannis is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss

by the laws of the Seven Kingdoms, bastards do not stand in line to the throne, and since Robert has no legitimate heirs, the throne goes to Stannis. It is simple.

When a guy's motto is "Bend the knee or be destroyed", you know he's not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around

Renly: "We all know what Stannis is."
Me: "A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss, is what he is. Go with him and TAKE THAT CITY!!"

I'm with Ned, I support Stannis' claim :)

I agree. Stannis can also be merciful and kind in spite of his stoic personality. He nursed a wounded hawk back to health and Robert mocked him for it. His parents dying at a young age with no friends to console him probably didn't help either. Really, if you compare Stannis to the other claimants for the throne he's the most worthy by far.

I sympathize with Stannis, somehow. He can be a bit of a jerk, but that's mostly because most people are such vain, petty bastards. Stannis does his duties and has honor and respect when addressing others and is very intelligent, but since he lacks overwhelming beauty and charisma and likes to do things the practical way, everyone prefers people like Joffrey and Renly over people like Stannis and Tyrion. I think he would make a better king than Robert was.

As a teenage boy he held his brother's city and nearly starved doing so. He built up a fleet for his brother afterwards and captured the island that was the last fortress of the Targaryens. He was Master of Ships on Robert's Small Council. He smashed the Iron Fleet during the Greyjoy Rebellion and captured Great Wyk. He is impressive in a different manner, rather than just brutalizing his opponent in a battle.

Renly was the biggest prick in the whole series. I seriously can't understand how anyone could feel angry at Stannis/Melisandre for having him killed. Of course they obviously never read any of the books or they'd see that Stannis is the most fair and just king in the realm. He awards based on merit rather than birth or political advantage, and he never fails to do his duty. He seeks the iron throne not because he wants it, but because its his by all the laws of Westeros.
