I was really looking forward to Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, but it ended up being a disappointment. I expected more mechanics and features inspired by the original story. In the manhwa, the main character’s growth feels overwhelming and powerful — you truly feel the rise in strength. In the game, that feeling is mostly missing.

The biggest letdown is the shadow army system. In the source material, the protagonist dominates the battlefield and strategically commands his resurrected warriors. Here, they feel more like background support than an unstoppable force. There’s not enough control or depth, and you don’t really feel like you’re commanding an elite army.

The progression system also fails to capture that “overpowered” sensation that made the original so satisfying. You don’t feel increasingly unstoppable or feared by enemies. The combat looks flashy, but the emotional impact and sense of dominance just aren’t there.

Overall, the game looks good visually, but it lacks the depth and power fantasy that made the original story so compelling. I expected much more.
