An incredible amount of content. I've barely scratched the surface in 18 hours.
Online co-op works perfectly, been having a blast playing with my sister. Doom II on UV is no joke.
Insane value for $3 or whatever I paid.

The state of dinosaur games is pretty dire.
If you exclude Jurassic World Evolution, most dino games are dull walking sims with heavy VHS filters and half a dozen purchased dinosaur assets with broken walk cycles.
Don't let the mixed reviews scare you, this is not like those. It's unpolished, it doesn't run very well, the DLSS implementation is borderline broken
BUT
when you're in a gunfight against soldiers and a ceratopsian busts through a barrier and flattens an enemy, it's actually fun. For that reason, I recommend.

Play on hard difficulty, otherwise it's too easy.

An incomplete list of severe bugs I experienced in this game:
• If you approach a save point too quickly, you fall out of world
• Save points sometimes do not work, requiring a game restart and guaranteeing lost progress
• The map sometimes doesn't allow scrolling, and doesn't work at all in some areas (Celestial Forge sucks)
• Key items sometimes do not spawn, requiring save file editing to prevent a soft lock
• Challenge doors and other special events do not trigger properly, either allowing free access to the reward or locking it permanently
• Several second delay on opening the map in larger environments
• Guns firing in random directions in specific areas, rendering the game unplayable
• Falling through platforms into hazards or dead end areas with no way to escape
• Jumping up from a ledge grab very often does not work, making platforming overly difficult
• Sometimes equipped gadgets and guns disappear, and cannot be re-equipped until the game is restarted
• Vehicles will explode at random, killing the player
• Hurtbox for dead enemies still exist long after they die, sometimes hurting or killing the player

It's challenging but not unfair, the weapons and gadgets are all fun to use, the performance was good on my 9950X3D/4080, and the visuals were sometimes beautiful.

There is a good game in here somewhere. The combat, variety of weapons, and the diversity of environments really shine, which is why I persevered and rolled credits.
However, in its current state, I cannot recommend it as a "finished" game.

Superb game. Looks great, runs well, even on the Deck with controller support.
Great dinosaur+reptile+fish selection, and huge potential for beautiful builds if you have the creativity.

You should spend as much time with your loved ones as you can. They aren't going to be around forever.

Wow! Exploring and fighting in open-ended and beautiful environments is so much fun! Especially with Kratos' expanded moveset, new companion abilities, and wonderful voice performances from the main cast.

I really hope I don't have to climb up a long and boring Uncharted cliff or slowly ride a cow through a swamp later. That would really sour the experience.

I really enjoyed this game, however I think calling it a Souls-like is an absolute miss and probably contributed to the mixed response to the game.
It would be more accurate to call it a God of War 2018-like. Except Atreus is a magic fox.
Just like GoW, it's not particularly difficult, but the combo meter in combat made it fun and satisfying to rack up a huge multiplier. I have a couple of gripes with combat, like how secondary ranged weapons have a set number of shots and that's it, but being able to refill primary ammo with melee defeats my hoarding instincts and makes me actually use the ranged weapons.
The art style is superb, specifically the design of the bosses and hosts in the coffee shops. Enki's attacks and powers are visually appealing and the traversal is vastly better than GoW in my opinion. No slowly backtracking over Sony-brand yellow paint cliffs, the shortcuts let you travel across previous areas incredibly fast.
Overall a fun 15-16 hour experience. Given the ending, I'm not sure how a sequel could work, but if it does, I wish the devs success. Iterating on the excellent ideas and excising the bad ones could make a really killer Flintlock 2.

Crysis is a good game and an excellent time capsule for what 2007 thought the future would be like.

However, I played it on an ultrawide monitor and experienced severe flickering during loading screens, specifically in the areas beyond 16:9. I'm not photo sensitive and I still had to look away.

I can't recommend the game until this is fixed.
