My first run to complete the game also crashed the game a couple turns later due to integer overflow.

A Masterpiece.

Controller support and steam overlay are completely broken.

The game is not currently playable with any of my controllers. The issue seems to have originated from an EA app update (at least that's what my cursory googling of the issue seems to suggest). I've had a rocky history with EA games in the past, and I'm not surprised in the slightest to see that their continued incompetence has bricked basic functions of this game.

The game also seems to constantly stutter and hitch during pre-rendered cutscenes, let alone actual gameplay.

Yes the game can be a janky mess at times. I initially considered giving a review which did not recommend this game after about 12 hours of game time. That said, the consistent piece of the game that had impressed me in those first 12 hours was the writing. At that point the game had made me cry 3 times. Light tears, but genuine ones. Some happy tears and some sad tears.

After those initial 12 hours, I decided to stick it out and go just a little further; frustrations be damned. One I gave the game an honest chance and met it where it was, I discovered the masterpiece. I'd recommend that you get this game and do the same. Go become an absolutely unkillable cyborg death machine; let yourself really sit with a scene and enjoy the fantastic voice acting on display; drive slowly through the city in first person with the radio blasting and just vibe. This game is a collection of very powerful feelings and it does a masterful job of evoking those feelings.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic and I can't stop smiling about the dope ♥♥♥♥ I've managed to pull off in some of these runs.

Do yourself a favor and get this game - especially if you enjoy the genre.
