DO NOT BUY i will change review when they start making sense again. They already are not fullfiling what they have promised + they added a in game store with skins more expensive than the base game and the new "tutorial/playground" glades are just a waste of time. The new tank and healer can be fun but they just invalidated the rest of the cast. A seasonal game but they are not balancing mid season leaving classes to be marked as dead. A leaderboard game where atm using bugs and exploits are a must since the devs promote it until the game hits 1.0 no mid seasons resets or massive changes.
And they are now talking about adding a loot system where they are giving u many more lesser Best in slot items increasing the grind for a specific item instead of focusing on making more actual content for the game. Which they sold the game as a "No Endless Grind" Also all of that while they are not adresing allot of issues.

A very shallow game that lets you breeze trough the boring story with charecter development that does not make much sense followed up by a very bad and grindy end game.
And as soon you get something that has a elemental attack u just skip rock paper scissors by doing elemental attacks.

I find the gameplay to be okay and not mutch more then that but bandai dropped the ball.
U can only unlock 1 gundam per season if u do majority of the season pass that season.
Ranked matchmaking pretty mutch does not exsist and in normal queues u are sitting around 5 min until u find games which if u have the "new" gundams u just pretty mutch steamroll

If you havent played this game it is worth it but updates are very very very slow
Gameplay good. Players mostly bad. They fixed the progression somewhat wepon and class balance is whack.
This current update feels like how the game should have been released but not a ton of new "content" for being released 3 years ago.

ps. ♥♥♥♥ microtransaktions how does that fit in the "lore" hmmmmmm????????? if devs use a dumb excuses i can use them back

Being a fan of life is strange 1 and 2 this game is a let down in every regard. Not worth 60€ stay clear.

Really poor animation loops during choises early on u can see where the loop starts its pretty bad tough it gets somewhat okay the more u play guess they dident polish up the start of the game for some reason.
They spend so little time with charecters and building them up, they feel increadibly artificial and forced. Overall there are around 2 charecters that feels like a actual charecter.
The "power" is just what the devs needs it to be. they make it work in different ways and make also make it not work in ways this happens so much i just went "wait why is the maincharcter not feeling this emotion right now?" and i just sighed wishing for some good writing. Also 99% of the time the power is used it could just have been solved by simple deduction and conversing so yea they copped out with a stupid power that just works that the story needs it to sigh.
The pacing of the game is really off they want to use sit down relax moments all the time which defeats the purpose of them and just slows the game down adding running time, also 75% of the walking around interacting is pointless and just drags out the games length without adding anything and if u want to have some choises to happen u need to walk around and explore. In life is strange 1 or 2 i never dreaded exploring an area finding stuff in True Colour it felt like a big chore since the majority of it has no payoff.
Also the game is short but when i was playing it it really felt like it was just dragging on and on
And i cant wait to see the amount of non choises since i think there are allooooot of them in this game in fact most of them arent even choises its just a check sat and rested by x.

Overall it is kinda hard to reccomend this game to most people. If u want to play through the Farcry series the rest of the games plays nothing like this one and the story is nothing like this one so in that regard u can skip it.
I personaly feel like the audience of this game as of 2021 is people who grew up playing old fps games.
I had fun playing on the hardest difficulty and messing around with ai and bugging up terrain and to challenge myself.
Be warned the AI attleast on the hardest some of them can see you from litteral miles away with a rocket launcher and if he spots you all the AI around you will know your location (some maps are very very open)
There are some very good action setpieces and probably more very bad action setpieces which kinda sums up this a game a bit its great in some ways and really bad in others. The guns are very hit and miss imo i find the mounted guns unacurate so i had to reload the save over and over in some parts since i had little health in a section tough most of the normal guns are just fine.
If u want to experience early 2000 fps like games this is that experience a thing to keep in mind it is Crytek's first game as a studio so the islands(maps) are very experimental.
Also i encounterd an elevator bug in the last mission but i just scaled the mountain wall to bypass the elevator (it is not to difficult to scale it so if it happens dont worry)

As of making this review the game has little to no value. very bland and boring enviromental puzzels that they repeat over and over. Most enemies u dont need to use any gadgets or any smart strategies just run through, very rough looking textures. They have collectibles such as audio logs which ofc u cant listen to while walking.
The game feels rough and it seems they have a lack of focus or vision of the gameplay and story. Why does a generator power a little door panel to open a door in a future with robots? And why is that the only kind of puzzle in 1 hour of gameplay.


also the charecter picks up a "diary log" in a random building which is from the charecter you are playing talking about how she feels about leaving her brother behind which makes not mutch sense since u just started that journey to leave to get medicin? (i could have missed something i did not finish the entire thing)

--(no spoilers until warning is given)-- imo = in my own opinion / MC = main charecters / LIS = life is strange
My personal review/critique. The spelling consistency in this review is the on par with the writing in the game

It is not worth playing this game imo just go play the original and the one before this one and ignore this one exists. Reasons why for my opinion is given below.

This game has way to much walking with little to no meaningfull or intresting interactions. The gameplay in Stark is 90% abysmal with no intresting or real or impacting world building or charecter building. And also some gameplay just having no reason to exsist.
There is so many useless stories going on in the game that does not relate to the overall story and it also does not contribute to the growth of the charecters themselfs or change their outlook on anything. And in my opinion they end up as boring draged out filler. i know boring is subjective but it is still filler with no meaning. In the end it just becomes a huge jumbeld mess. Most of the non MC are shallow and poorly made or poorly implemented.

There is probably 5% of really good things in this game 10% okay stuff however the never ending pointless walking, pointless story beats and pointless boring puzzels does not make up for it. Why would some one that has lived in a city for some time not know the location of their home or the location of their workplace or the location of their bf workplace which they frequently vists. I find the game pads out its time by making you walk back and forth over and over again in the world with no real purpose (more on that in spoiler section) btw in 2220 u need to walk up to a stationary map to know locations of things? not so futuristic i guess
I found the first game to have increadible world building and excelent charecter interactions and most of the puzzels were intresting to some degree (tough some puzzels are flawed). In this game there is not mutch of that charm att all and the little charm there is exsists almost all in the ending which takes roughly 19 hours to get to.

The game tries to sell itself as its giving you choises, majority of the choises are essentialy non choises.
I will compare dreamfal to Life is strange (LIS) regarding how LIS plays out its choises it becomes apperent how stupid it is implemented in Dreamfall. In LIS the way u play the game drasticaly effects multiple charecters and their interaction with the world and how the main charecter views the world and said charecters and it all having an impact. Making it all about the journey which choises you take plays a different narrative which supports picking an ending over the other. Dreamfall tries to lasily make such a system and fails since the choises have such a little interaction with anything related to anything. 1 side charecter dying in dreamfall becomes waved off by everyone and in the game the MC does not even get affected by it. They dont change their views or value said things differently. it trickels down to a line in a journal has been added if even that.

A big part of the stark story can just be cut out completly and it wont change the overall story att all. And imo it wont affect any real charecter development.
In the overall story Zoe is in europe and needs to "wake up" her interactions with Queenie, Zoes friends or anything in Europe does not change Zoe or her opinion. The game tries to make it seem like the choises u have made build up to this pay of and now she will play out a certain way. How it pays of is simply no u dident have a choise, the interactions she had were irrelevant to the choises she came up with. Zoe would not would act differently. She was always gonna act this way. For example she is always gonna be with Reza in the end. They also try to play with the fact there are more dreamers then zoe and the sister which immediately becomes irelevant so why did Hannah exist?

Moving on to stupid charecters and more non choises.
The story does not punish Likho for getting the rebelion half-killed and they dont show him regretting the fact he got half the rebelion killed. As for the reason why Likho got the half of the resistance killed is stupid in of itself. He simply did not trust Kians source because Kian did not torture the captive. And again Likho shows no remorse that his actions got the rebelion half killed what so ever and no one reprimands him for this in anyway. And he wants to abandon the rebelion knowing they will possibly die without him while he chastices other people for betraying the rebelion just showing how shalow the charecter is writen and implemented to insert "meaningful" choises.
Btw did u miss that it kinda went by half of the rebelion is dead and it is just played of as not an impact what so ever it is just casualy glossed over by everyone. Oh btw he hates Kian and expects him to abandon the rebelion so Likho does care about the rebelion?
Using Kian as another example of how poorly choises are implemented in dreamfall.
In the previous game he is shown that he has unrelenting faith in the godess and he views Vamon and Sahya as false prophets that they are missusing the name of the godess for their own gains and he vows to stop them.
In dreamfall they want u to pretend like Kian had never said that and leave it up to interpetation if he gave up the faith of the godess or not and then they want you to make a "choise" if has he given up faith or not.
If u played the game u know that he never gave up the faith in the godess and he has never expressed the fact that he gave up faith in the godess. But they have to implement this simply because they want "choises" in the game
Later in the game low and behold he never gave up his faith to the godess which makes the hole thing almost pointless to bring up and making it an illusion of choise. And storybeats the way Kian interatcs with others doesnt depcit him struggeling in his faith of the godess. And they also depict him later in the game like he never doubted this fact so what was the point of the wallowing? oh ye illusion of choooise.
I personaly felt that dreamfall wants u to not think about the stupid actions of charecters and dont pay attention to how the choises are worded in such a way to make it a non choise. And how some charecters just 180 from last game to this one also how some are just contraditing themselfs in this one game

I wish i can undream this experience and just remember the 2 previous games.

If it is for some reason unclear what i see a non choise (just examples given below way to many exists in this game [tldr illusion of choise]
#1 / charecters that for example with Kian regarding if he gave up his faith or not will be redundant becuse he has unrelanting faith to the godess essentialy giving u a illusion of a choise.
2# / Choises with no impact for example any choise regarding Queenie boils down to not impacting anything the plot, the way Zoe interact with anyone nothing changes it just adds a line or 2 which has no impact so it becomes an illusion of choise/charecterbuilding
#3 / litterary not a choise for example, the game presents that you have 2 paths you go along the first path and u notice it is blocked so u go the other one. the game will play out like no mather if u tried to go the other one first is irrelevant since u went the only path available
plays in to #1.

They dont play into the fact that the entire stroy is foretold and they want to subvert expetation oh see april died in the last game so its not foretold but oh wait she is back in the end so it is foretold just showing very lazy writing in my humble opinion.
