Game went from being fine and fun, to crashing my whole computer, to being fine again, to not even launching. Maybe buy the game when they fix it.

Had to reinstall the game to fix the no starting issue.

♥♥♥♥ this game. For a game with so much money spent to make it, there are literally game breaking bugs that prevent you from finishing quests including the main story. Do not waste your money on this garbage.

Awesome game! Firstly, it's very different from other FPS games in that the setting is the late 1800s. So most weapons in the game are single action, lever action, breechloading... slow to shoot. This makes for a slower paced game that really puts you on edge throughout the match. The goal of the game is find three clues which will narrow the map down to where the monster is located on the map. You want to kill the monster and banish it (like an exorcism). This will cause the location to be revealed to everyone in the match. After the banish is complete, they leave two tokens which allow the holders to see players through walls for several seconds, whereas the token-holder is revealed on the map. The final step is to try to kill the other players, or escape from them to an extraction point with the token which will give you money to buy weapons and equipment.

What I enjoy about this game is the matches are slow and you really want to approach tactically. The sound in the game is the best of any I have played. Everything you do makes a sound. You can hear when someone nearby checks their map, when they are crouch-walking, when they are walking, running, going into dark vision (kind of like a detective mode that shows clues and token holders), every weapon produces a unique sound, switching weapons, taking out equipment.... This game is sound-based which really immerses the player into the game. Adding to the tactics is the ability to penetrate things like wooden planks, metal sheets and trees that players can take cover behind.

This game is not COD, you do not have infinite lives, you do not reload quickly (some weapons might take more than 5 seconds to reload), you can't spam weapons and throwables without running out quickly.

One thing I would like to have improved in the game is the character models. Some models have an inherent slight advantage due to blending better with the background. It is not game breaking, but it is annoying. Another improvement is the game uses client side hit detection rather than server side, so weird interactions occur such as dying after killing someone due to how the server understood the sequence of events.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys FPS games, especially extraction shooters. It is a very niche game that is easy to get into and many are quite welcoming to the game. When I had first started, people were very happy to have me join their games despite being in the higher skill bracket. They showed me the basics of the game and did not mind me making many blunders that gave away our position.

Today is a big update and many changes have been introduced. Many recent reviews whine about the UI changes rather than praise the developers for continuing to support such a small community. Do not allow this to change your mind on trying the game.

Somehow with each bug fix they introduce 10 new bugs. Every match someone from the team is kicked out. Every few games, everyone is booted from the server, latency is horrible, somehow people manage to shoot through corners when there should be 0 possibility of that happening. They buffed shotguns so much that they kill from across entire rooms. This game has gotten beyond stupid. Shotguns are meta and it has ruined the game. You get instant killed from ridiculous distance from a shotgun to the point where if you don't bring one you are handicapping yourself. Gone are the days of having a single shot weapon and a pistol and trying to kill each other. Bugs and stupid patches have ruined what was once a good game. I do not recommend getting this game at this time.

After fixing the party disbanding after each match with the murder circus update, the game now frequently kicks everyone out after a server is found for a match. The game has literally become difficult to play. Game has been losing its soul with each update introducing faster, spammy weapons and traits.

The game has had several patches which fixed a good amount of bugs. Since then, I have switched to an AMD card and experience stuttering - beware if you're an AMD GPU user as it seems to be a driver issue. The game still has plenty of bugs, there are many cheaters at higher ELO. But fun can still be had. Regardless, spammy weapons and traits is still an issue, the game is much faster paced than before.

Enjoyable game. You combine two skill trees to create a class. There are many classes available to utilize. It's a dungeon crawler. Not too many people play online so expect to play by yourself but it is still enjoyable. You can mod the game too via workshop.

Too many hackers in this game.

Concept is good, heroes are fun. But my god, you're stuck with other people on your team and one bad member causes you to waste 30-60 minutes of your life. Purely awful community. People will sit in the jungle all game and do nothing to help, people will refuse to pick anyone but a carry making you lose at the team picking screen, you are able to mute others making it impossible to communicate with cancerous people (suppose that doesn't matter since they won't listen anyway), you get teammed with people who seem to have never played the game (after 1500 games, I expect for people to know their character's role).

If you're going to play, try to play with friends. Otherwise try to find a way to enjoy it on your own.

Broken game. Chinese campaign level 10 is impossible to complete.

It's okay. Buy it for cheap, it has an interesting story. the gameplay is mediocre. Shenmue 1 is especially dated. From my understanding, Shenmue 3 does not end the story. So do not expect to have a complete story with what is currently out now.

Not an enjoyable game.

Really good RPG. In a way, it plays a lot like Vampires The Masquerade.
