If I could give it a middle rating I would but unfortunately its either recommend or not recommend so I'll go with recommended because the good is more than the bad.

PvE is ok and probably the highlight of the game if not considering the artificial difficulty and the fact that you basically can't do anything without a pre-made fireteam or without using the group finder tool (WHY CAN'T WE JUST MATCHMAKE FOR EVERYTHING?! Your game isn't that hard) 7/10.

The PvP is probably one of the worst if not the worst PvP experience I have ever had in a game 3/10. If you are a competitive player this is not the game you are looking for, if you're playing a warlock you're going to have a bad time compared to titans and hunters, its full of random bullisht, non-equalized loadouts and horrendous net code; 30 tick in a 12 player (AT MAX) game mode is a absolute joke considering Fortnite has the same tick rate but 100 players in a lobby.

Average: 5.5/10 mid tier (this is without considering sunsetted content and the other base systems problems with the game)

Abysmal balance where ARs and SMGs kill you in a second while any other weapon takes considerable time. Portals are basically pointless and hard to effectively use with how limited portal walls are and with how fast the TTK is it leaves little to no room for outplays. For some reason there are loadouts now and having to level up to get attachments and perks to make your guns and "hero" better instead of traditional everyone starts with same weapon and picks weapons up around the map. If I wanted to play this type of gameplay I would rather just go play CoD.

For some reason this is supposed to be a "Beta" and they have MULTIPLE micro-transactions, a battle pass and THREE currencies. Really rubs someone wrong and shows where their priorities lie.

Netcode is bad, constantly getting shot behind walls and hitting shots that I had no right to hit, bugs like enemies not showing on the radar at all when they are right next to you immediately killing you because TTK is so short. There is a option to turn off cross-play but it does LITERALLY NOTHING. The movement feels sluggish half the time and you feel like your moving through sludge and just stuck unable to move and other times its fast and feels fluid, incredibly inconsistent. All in all the game in general is kind of fun but it feels lackluster in many ways which is a shame because I was hoping for a good new multiplayer PvP shooter but this doesn't feel like its it.

Imagine taking everything that made your game loved and having a community built around and then turning around and spitting in their face and throwing it all away just to trend chase and make your game more palatable for general audiences. As famously quoted, "a game made for everyone is a game made for no one."

Absolutely horrendously bad balance team, bad servers with constant no regs and getting shot behind walls, bad game modes, bad matchmaking, bad game support. Its fun but one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever played and would recommend playing anything else if you're trying to have fun.

There is a reason its a dying game regardless of people constantly saying "its such a fun fresh game" and anyone that says it isn't is on pure copium.

Unfortunately there is no other PvP mechwarrior game out there.

Matchmaking is bad, 1 sided stomps almost every game.

The meta is lame, hill hump with high mounted large lasers or PPCs. Brawling is dead and LRMs are almost useless, especially at higher tiers.

New player and F2Per unfriendly.

Aim assist warriors and 3 man stackers everywhere, even in casual game modes!

Love the game but aim assist is broken AF, they talk about competitive integrity but having M&K vs controller computer assisted aim isn't competitive. Add that to the other problems of the game; audio, servers, balance, etcs its just not worth trying to get into.

With the removal of advanced movement techniques it further shows their controller bias, I would NOT recommend the game unless you're a controller player.

I'm sick of BR's and crap squad gameplay, give Titanfall. Its 10x better than Apex.

I am only a little bit of time in but literally every second I have played of this so far has been incredibly highly enjoyable, probably the most fun I have had in a game in years. I forsee myself gaining hundreds of hours into this game and highly recommend it to anyone who likes castlevania or roguelikes/lites, this game is exactly what they advertise.

Bullet sponge enemies that have god like aim and stupidly large aggro ranges.

Seriously, just skip this game, its fun for a couple hours then it just devolves into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bullet sponge fest with a terrible story and very stale progression system.

The cover system is alright besides getting stuck on it when you want to fall back which will inevitably lead to your demise. Enemies will just push you without any fear and you won't be able to do ♥♥♥♥ about it because you will unload a whole mag into their face and they will still be alive pushing you and killing you in like 3 shots.

TL;DR - I personally rate 10/10 I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes CO-OP FPS Survival games. Tons of guns, tons of masks, tons of heist, tons of build possibilities, and non-stop fun action.

Note: I would HIGHLY recommend buying the GOTY edition on sale for all that juicy extra DLC. The game is great without it, but the DLC amplifies the fun 10 fold.

Like shooting cops? Like tons of weapons? Like tons of customizable masks? Like robbing banks, stealing nukes, and crashing malls? Like causing mass amounts of mayhem with your friends? Like causing mass amount of mayhem alone and/or with randoms? This game has it.

This game has something special about it, I always seem to gravitate back to playing it one way or another and never stop enjoying it. There are skill tree's in the game to personalize your playstyle any way you want; as of update 100 with the new skill trees this is even more true than ever. There are also something call perk decks, which give little boosts which can enhance your builds even more, whether it be getting more armor, health, regenerating health by doing damage, ETC...

There are tons of heists, although a lot are DLC that doesn't mean you can't play it. If someone has the DLC and hosts the heist you can still play it, whether it be your friend or some random pub player.

There is too much I could say about this game so I will just leave it at that and have you trust my word on it.

I personally rate 10/10, would recommend and a must play.

Game is great, think Killing Floor but 10x better. It even has skins and hats you can get!

Imagine a nice freshly painted white hallway, it is now covered in blood and giblets and is insanely dark now because all the gore. 10/10 would paint walls with blood.

I bought this game in early access and have seen all the progress they have made since the beginning. This game is great and I would definitely recommend if you like Hotline Miami fast paced combat and rogue-likes.

The fact this game went from early access and was actually finished (unlike most early access garbage) is good enough reason alone to buy it.
