This game deserves more love!

What a fun and engaging incremental game. I love the survivor-like mechanics and upgrades. While the text can get a bit overwhelming, the core loop is solid and engaging and the game is very fun.

Would highly recommend to any fan of incremental games.

A really fun, well balanced platformer. From what I've played so far, it has great charm and just the right difficulty!

Very fun little idler! You play an overlord controlling cultist-like minions that harvest various creatures and animals for essence to grow your little operation. The pixel art is charming, and the synergies between buildings are interesting. This feels very much like Fill Up the Hole or The Gnorp Apologue with a macabre twist.

Interesting incremental. I enjoyed it once I figure it out, but it was a little difficult to get started.

A very solid incremental. Has very strong Gnorp vibes, which is a good thing.

In Fill Up The Hole, you manage little helpers that pick up trash and.. Fill Up The Hole. Every time they chuck some waste in the oversized bin, you earn a bit of bread. You can spend your cash on new buildings, upgrades, and hiring new helpers.

Progress does feel slow at some points, but that's just when the pit reaches it's garbage limit and and earthquake resets everything. This is the games way of auto-prestige, when you earn some special currencies you can earn on upgrades and start all over again with a higher garbage limit.

It's fun, but the one complaint I would have over Gnorp and Tower is the lack of visibility to an overarching goal.. there is this giant rock on the other side of the pit.. maybe that does something. It looks like it's changing every earthquake into a giant helper dude..?

Unbalanced and messy. The first half hour of playing Scratchers feels like trying to climb the rope in gym class, but the rope is soaked in grease so you keep sliding down to where you started.

In the game you buy lotto cards and scratch them off to make money, then you can hire people to scratch cards for you and make passive income while you keep scratching for the big bucks. The problem is, the randomness of the win algo makes it so you lose as much as you win, so you end up throwing your money away half the time. This is super frustrating when you get to higher level cards and drop 100T just to lose it all.

The thing I love about incrementals is consistent progress towards an overarching goal. The problem with Scratchers is 1) I don't know what that goal is, and 2) My progress is pushed back half the time because I lose money on a lotto roll.

The prestige system feels very unbalanced. There's only a couple dozen upgrades, and those are either really insignificant, or very overpowered. They just don't feel well thought out.

In the end, I just ended up maxing out my upgrades for helpers to scratch cards for me, walked away, came back a couple of hours later and 100%'d the game. There's not much here, so if you pass on it you won't be missing much.

It's really a shame, because a gambling incremental could be a cool concept, i.e. work to take the house, but this is just throwing everything to RNG every time you pull a card. There is very little skill involved, and it often feels unfair.

In short, this game reminded me why I'm glad I don't gamble.

Don't be fooled, THIS IS NOT AN IDLER GAME. At least not as far as I've played it yet.

What is it? A snake game where after each run you get to upgrade the snake, it's food, etc. Still fun, but I feel the dev has mis-tagged this with "idler" and "clicker", which it isn't.
