It's great little platforming fun. The story telling with the memories made me even more curious about the world itself. I didn’t like some of the aspects of the game like the how does the cane/stick sticks to the walls; platforming of it made the game feel clunky. There was lots of different bugs too like; clipping through the ground and with the cane/stick climbing can be speed up with just spamming buttons and it feels like the character is teleporting around which kind of ruined the immersion. But overall its great game if you can look past all the bugs and some of the design choices. Would recommend trying it out.


ps. I missed only 2 artifacts on my playthrough and I was stuck in a limbo with the rotating mushroom tower "puzzle" platforming which drove me deeper into insanity.

Update: it took around 120 hours to finish the game in veteran difficulty. You will get your moneys worth of gameplay for sure, though the could have made the Pripyat part bit longer quest/story wise and I didn’t get to explore all the locations/complete all the quest or find all the stashes yet in the whole game, maybe on the next playthrough. Also still lots of bugs here and there but nothing ground breaking.

Stalker is one of my favorite game series and GSC has been updating this game frequently ever since it was released, improving every aspect of the game how it feels and runs. I feel like the game has come a far since the launch with lots of new improved features. Though the game still feels laggy here and there but it feels like it runs much more smoother than previously, which makes it atleast playable. Hopefully they continue this for many years to come. Would recommend getting this game for the atmosphere it provides.

Old review: (I'm playing with pretty high end rig and yet the game feels unplayable even with the lowest graphical settings. FSR 3 Frame Generation is only way to have decent FPS but with input lag. But even with the Frame Generation on the game stutters and lags around almost every corner when there is something happening around. Would not recommend buying it on its current state till they fix performance issues.)
