Anti-cheat for a social game? Give me a break. -_- This is like trying to put a band-aid on a gunshot wound, things will spill over...it's inevitable. This isn't going to stop the malicious users, just slow them down, temporarily. They don't realize that if you push back people that have malicious intent, they're going to fight back even harder. And they're just going to make things tougher, not just on the VRChat team, but on innocent users.

Meanwhile, those that wanted a better experience through QoL mods (which fixed issues that VRC has had for so long) are being punished. Not to mention, I'm seeing people defending it saying that "all mod users just wanted malicious mods" and that malicious users and QoL users are in the same category, which is so ignorant. And it's funny to me that they're only now listening to feedback regarding QoL features AFTER applying the update and because of all the backlash. The mention of working with the modding community earlier this year has gone in one ear and out the other.

And even with these features "on the way", we can't expect a timeline or quick turnaround because they've never had a good track record when it comes to pushing out recommended features in a timely manner. We've only gotten more things that not many people asked for to try and hold us over until something meaningful came out.

Since 2018, I've always defended this game and tried to explain to people how great of an experience it is, no matter how much slander the game got or I received. But at this moment in time, I can't for the life of me see how the pros outweigh the cons, and I can't recommend this game anymore (as much as it truly pains me). This game (if you even wanna call it that) has done so much for me, but this bitter taste in my mouth will probably never go away. All I can say is to try and find other alternatives. And if you're truly hopeful for these new changes and features to be implemented, good luck and have fun waiting. Try doing productive things in the meantime 'cause it's gonna be awhile...........a long while.

And those that are bashing others for voicing legitimate concerns are (and will always be) close-minded. Even if you're unaffected by this, you've gotta at least acknowledge that there's a problem here if there's thousands of people speaking out, whether you agree or not. VRChat has preached about "working together with the community", but they've taken many steps back and it's going to take a very long time to fix their already shaky reputation.

Well folks, it was fun while it lasted... o7 o7 o7

I've got quite a handful of VR games, but have dedicated most of my time in VR to Beat Saber. Highly recommend. Had the game for a year now and still enjoy every bit of it. It's a fun challenge for both rhythm game aficionados as well as casual players looking to slice blocks, dance, and have a good time!
