Joker 2 just did what the Joker does best. It took your little character and turned it on itself. Look what the sequel did to this character with a few songs and a couple of meta themes. You know what I’ve noticed? Nobody panics when movies go “according to character.” Even if the character is horrifying. If there’s a movie sequel with a villain Joker plot, like a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it’s all “part of the character”. But when there’s a sequel movie plot that one little old Joker will die, well then everyone loses their minds. Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. The Jokers an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It’s fair!
