Discounted Silver with an emote as a cherry on top? Good bang for the buck I'd say

This is a failed try-hard copy of WoW with lots of Pay2Win aspects. Cash shop is brings insane advantage in PvP, new mounts and vanity items ruin the immersion. Leveling is ultra linear with very little exploration. Build customisation might seem quite broad on paper, but in reality it's narrowed down by "aspects". The endgame is pure grind and can indeed get boring, burning you out fast. For some, endgame is the PvP, but as I mentioned, Pay2Win ruins it. PvP while leveling is either non-existant or you get smacked down by ocasional paying veteran.
Playerbase isn't big, but not dead. People are really friendly and from all over the world. Everyone is mainly on "New frontier" server, "Equilibrium" being nearly dead and "Smuggler's paradise" having low population.
HOWEVER this game somehow manages to be my 3rd best free MMORPG (1st being Guild wars 2, 2nd Blade and soul). The concept of the world and it's lore is unique in few aspects, that bring the game it's charm:

1) It's a planet, shattered by cataclsysm and now there are pieces of land floating in space. Later in-game you have a possibility to build a ship that can sail in the mentioned space. The sad part is that devs abandoned this concept and after a few fun flights, it gets boring...

2) The two factions are based on russian culture. The League is bayor Russia - wooden houses, castles, a big presence of nature, traditional clothes and lifestyle. The Empire on the other hand is a reflection of Russia when it was the soviet union. Lots of similar, ugly concrete houses, to reflect the poverty brought by heavy industialisation and need of work/fighting force as the faction's main focus is war. There are lots of statues representing faction's heroes. Even leader's tower has an enormous statue on top of it representing the individual who established the faction.

I keep telling myself: "It's a bad game, but I keep coming back to it for once in a while for some reason.

All in all, if you decide to give it a try, play it for story and it's enviroment, but don't invest too much money early on. Leveling can get hard, but that only brings back the feeling of old school MMO's that were slighly more merciless in combat AND leveling.
