This is a great all around game. while there are some flaws peeking through, I still think this game is worth picking up. I love how when you first get started and are getting used to the controls, your prospect is just as lost since he only knows a few moves. But as you get better as a player, your character gets better as a fighter. You pick up new moves along your PvE journey and put them in your combat deck to fight your playstyle which is truly the most unique fighting/RPG I have experienced.

Though initally confusing, the PvE map is a nother great example of how you are placed in a unknown enviroment left with nothing but your skills to defend you. There is no mini-map hell I'd say theres barely a normal map ecept for a rough outline of where you *might* be. Since there is no map it is up to you and yoour map knowledge to get you around the map. Much like how it would be if you were actually just thrown into the world as if you were actually the prospect.

Along this trip you will fight lost prospects to pick up new moves and come across some players. These players can be friendly and fight along side you, then when the fight is over they may challenge you to a little fight of their own. At which point you can see who has the better deck/is more skilled at the game. Afterwards they will revive you, give you a nice bow or thumbs up showing it was a good fight, and then you will both be back on your way as if that never happened. And that is just so awesome! that you can go from PvE to a respectful PvP fight and then back to PvE.

Once you bet all the bosses for the first time it will be time to start your combat trial (PvP) journey. Now this is where some issues peek in but they arent anything you can not overlook. What is nice is that you can test your deck and see improvement in yourself. You do, of course, improve during PvE. But much like any fighting game it is uncompareble to the PvP improvement scale. Some lag is apparent in SOME combat trails. Notice it is some and not all like may reviews will say. As of the last 35 or so combat trials I have played, I have only noticed lag in 3 of them. The rest I'd say are fine.

So overall, is this game worth your time and $30? Yes. With out a doubt. It is a unique experience seeing you and your prospect evolve.
