It was a fun little game. It only took about 3 hours, which was about the right length for the mechanics involved. The upgrades were well paced, and the overall experience was awesome, especially at the price.

Give it a try!

It was a fun, cute incremental. Best of all, though, it was short. It didn't pad for the sake of padding out the game. As of today, over 70% of people have the achievement for finishing the game. I don't think I have *ever* seen anything like that in all my time on Steam.

Highly recommend, especially at this price, and am off to go follow the developer.

Orcs Must Die is a blend of tower defense and shooter. It sounds like a strange combination, but it works amazingly well. The traps are varied and unique, the character movement and weapons feel good to use, and the game has a surprisingly good sense of humor. I have played every game in the franchise so far, and this is just what I had hoped for when I heard there was going to be a new entry in the series.

This iteration in the series has better graphics, additional main characters, a new game mode, a lot of new traps, and some very large scale maps with siege-style weaponry. For people who just want to come home and feel like an orc-slaying hero for a while, there is an easier mode. For those who don't want that, there are the Riftlord (hard) difficulty level and infinite mode.

If you are tired of tower defense games where the strategy is the same on every level, the variety of weapons, traps, and levels will provide you the chance to try new things. The difference in the levels will force you out of your comfort zone if you get too attached to any particular strategy. It hits all of the bases for a great time.

Two thumbs up, try it out. If you want to see what it's like first, check out some of the content on youtube or twitch, where people have been enjoying it.

I'm not sure what to say about this game that hasn't already been said before. It's cute, kid-friendly, has a ton of things to do, and is the worst "one-more-turn" addiction I have had in almost 20 years. Two thumbs up, maybe three after this summer's vacation to Chernobyl.

Buy it, and say farewell to sleep and free time for a few weeks. :)
