By no means a perfect game, but some pretty solid gameplay. Very, very fast in comparison to similar titles.

This game is Mirror's Edge if the main character was Genji and the setting was the world of Cyberpunk.
Movement is clean.

Throne of Lies is a game full of social deduction, deceit and risk management. You play as one of 3 factions in any given game: the good faction (The Blue Dragon), an evil faction (The Unseen or The Cult) or a neutral faction where you align with no one aside from yourself. The objective of the game is to fulfill your victory condition. Each faction has the intent of killing off the opposite factions members or, in the case of the evil factions, converting them to be one of your own. The objective of the neutral factions varies depending on the class.
The primary point where most of the social action will happen is the daytime gathering at the round table where you discuss everything in an open conversation.

I know what you're really reading this review for is to find out if you should buy it. So here is my take on the game currently.

Pros
  1. Character Design - Classes feel a lot more active and engaging compared to competing titles like Town of Salem
  2. Developer Support - Developers have expanded on more traditional roles to make them more useful (e.g. Adding a "mind link" mechanic to the Psychic, this game's take on the medium, to perform a similar function to the jailor.) This tells me the developers are clearly committed to making for the most enjoyable experience for every class. As of now, no class feels completely useless.
  3. Enjoyability - The game can be hilarious when played in groups. The inclusion of certain abilities such as "Trollbox," which enables you to make someone spout words of your choice, makes for some pretty funny interactions.

Cons
  1. Design Direction - Developers seem to have a lack of direction when it comes to certain characters. The primary one being the King. I do not see this as a huge downside as they clearly have the intent of improving this, but I thought it would be worth mentioning that they haven't quite perfected the roster yet.
  2. Graphics - Graphically unimpressive game. This isn't something I care too much about given the graphics play an extremely small role in this game.
  3. Bugs - Crashing issues sometimes occur on game load. On most occasions it's not the end of the world because you can join back, but sometimes it doesn't even allow you to do that. Glitches have also occurred within the game itself, but are quick to be patched.
  4. Complexity - This game can be extremely difficult to pick up due to the complexity of the characters. They do have an included tutorial (which I have yet to go through), but the game is still much more complex than competing titles like Town of Salem.

In summary, this game is a very amusing game with a ton of high points and a few low points. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in expanding their Mafia/Werewolf-esque library or someone taking their first step into the genre. At the price point this game is currently at, you won't have to break the bank either.

If you like competitive-style Smash Bros, this game should be in your library. It's a very fun game and hits a happy medium between the ultra hardcore technical skill required in melee and the casual method of playing.
This is easily the best fighting game on Steam if you're not into traditional fighters such as Street Fighter.

Undertale is one of the most entertaining RPGs in the last twenty years. You are provided the opportunity to choose how you want to play the game in very meaningful ways, unlike most modern RPGs. The amount of amusement you can get from this game is pretty high for this game's measely $10 price tag. The game is not what I would consider easy, but it's not frustratingly hard either. I'd consider it a happy medium for the average gamer who enjoys a little challenge here and there.
I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is thinking about buying this game. I was definitely skeptical at first, but after playing it for about 10 minutes, I was hooked.

(Oh and the soundtrack is amazing.)

I only had to play one game to find out that certain characters have a fatal flaw with them.
Valle's melee attacks have a lengthy stun after EVERY hit. Making fights involving her near impossible to win.
Ranged attacks do too little damage, it's not proportional to the amount of damage melee attacks can do (also from longer range than usual via the sprint button) It's pretty obvious that 3 is minimal compared to 26 or 30 hits done by melee damage.

Also, pay per character will kill the game. If you don't have a decent pool of characters upon startup then people won't want to invest their money into playing it. It's not giving the players a chance to test out the characters before buying them. I advise the developers to take a different route and become more similar to DOTA or HoN in the character selection respect. It works and, if the game is good, people will play it.

For the most part, the game has a fun play style, it could just use a little tweaking with numbers.

It reminds me of Guild Wars 2 combat. That's not a bad thing. I'll definitely plug this game back in when it's fully released.
