This game is labelled as "Beta", but I think the term "Sigma" is much more appropriate.

Hearing Watto sing to himself while I'm wearing headphones is the best experience I have ever had in a game.

I bought this game for 50 cents on Humble Bundle and thought it looked kind of fun, and it is. The whole concept of balancing a city, both literally (making sure the whole city doesn't fall off a cliff) and figuratively (maintaning electricity, clean air etc.) is really fun and original, and it gives the game a lot more gravity to it than a simple physics game. The interface and tutorial, both of which lack adequate labelling and instructions, are fairly difficult to learn but are easy to master after a bit of trial and error. If you find this game under $4 or so dollars and like the concept of a simple city simulator and a physics game being merged together, I highly recommend that you pick it up.

Fairly fun at first, but it becomes very repetitive and no progress is to be made with the development of the game. though it is very diffiult. Not worth any price above $3.

Agent Awesome is overall a very boring game. At a glance, I thought it looked kind of cool, and the opening cutscene was fairly decent, but my experience went downhill from there. Right off the bat, the core mechanics of the game appeared to me as tedious and unnecessary. The way in which you move in the game is by clicking on a small circle at top left of the screen and selecting a location on the map which subsequently appears. This mechanic is time consuming and looks ugly compared to the actual game environment. The humor, for the most part, is nothing we haven't seen before and the dialogue is fairly bland. I would love to enjoy and recommend this game, but it is not worth playing because of it's ridiculous interface.

Sure, it may look like it was made for the PS2, but looking back, there were so many amazing games ON the PS2. In conclusion, I give it a /10

Absolutely perfect. Cuphead is a perfect balance of mind-numbing difficulty that makes you want to throw your controller at your monitor (please don't use keyboard) and cheerful, rewarding art style and soundtrack to mitigate the hatred which ensues. Though this game is often said to be similar to Dark Souls, there's a key difference between the two. In Dark Souls, which, much like Cuphead, holds a large emphasis on the structure of jumping from difficult boss fight to difficult boss fight, but what sets Cuphead apart from Dark Souls is the fulfilment and the reward of defeating each boss. When a boss is defeated in Dark Souls, of course there is a sense of both accomplishment and relief, but also a sense of dread in knowing that the next boss will be harder as you walk through the depressing decay. Cuphead, though it can contain that same level of frustration in it's gameplay, offers a lot more than just a feeling of accomplishment. The cheery, pleasant disposition and the overall composition of the game allows for a drive for the player to expect more than just another challenge around every corner, but an experience.

This is purely my opinion, based on my experiences with both Dark Souls and Cuphead. Don't get me wrong, the Dark Souls games are very good and it is not all dark and depressing, but I find little motivation to play other than to simply affirm that I did beat it. Personally I despise bullet-hell games and difficult games in general, but the moment I heard the music and saw the style, I knew I was going to trudge my way to the end. This is how I believe a difficult game should be delivered, and Studio MDHR nailed it.
