I cannot, in good faith, recommend this game as it is right now.
The developers remain silent, instead using the social media accounts for witty advertising, and seem to have a tendency to withhold new content for larger updates. Whenever I get on there's like 5 people total.
I also have gripes with the moderation team; I've seen them handle situations horribly and cause drama until the leads step in and apologise for everything. Too bad that it's against the rules to discuss moderation in the official Discord server!
One event in particular has completely ruined my faith in them - a friend accidentally called themselves a Bad Word™, forgetting that they're not in a friends-only server, and one of the game's moderators proceeded to wordlessly harass them with physics objects over this. It took several people telling said moderator to stop, after the friend already said so several times, for it to actually stop.
It's a game with a lot of potential, and it was fun whenever I played it with friends; but right now, it feels stagnant and dire.

Fun short game. Rather charming. Kills the time.
Final fight gets very difficult depending on the modifiers, but the difficulty never got rage-inducing.

It's Dragon Quest. There's not really much else I can say about this game; this is as good as Dragon Quest games get. The same old writing, the same old comical names for enemies and spells, the same old music... It's Dragon Quest, what more can you ask for as a classic RPG fan?

i hope that Changed Special gets some difficulty nerfs because i legit had to cheat to get past the shark fight and the white latex areas

honestly, i admit that at first, i (subtly said) pirated this game, not expecting much, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did i fall in love with it. i eventually bought it and cant wait for changed special to update
