Probably the most fun ive had in a game ever. Gameplay is absolutely insane on the higher difficulties, and an absolute blast with friends. Best co-op shooter I've ever played. The devs are also awesome. They take the game just as seriously as the players do, and the risk is very real. We could have lost Super Earth, but we stood our ground and pushed the squids back, and saved the planet! I saw a video showing what the news reel wouldve been if we had failed to defend Super Earth, and it just goes to show that while the game is scripted, we do have the freedom to succeed or fail, and we get to reap the rewards, or suffer the consequences. Also the community is just golden. Saving a children's hospital at the expense of new weapons, and then the devs go and honor that choice by the players and donated to a children's hospital. Incredible stuff. I've never seen anything like it. And the way they do FOMO is actually legit. Its not like in other games where you miss out on cool toys because you couldnt buy them with real money. In Helldivers 2, it manifests in you being able to say "I was there." I was there defending Super Earth, in the streets of the Mega Cities, mowing down illuminate with my friends. I was not there for Malevelon Creek, and I wish I could have been. This kind of FOMO only comes from the fact the game is a live service, live story thing. Events happen, and if you dont show up, you miss out. There are some cosmetics that come from participating in these battles and I think that's pretty cool too. Proof you were there. That sort of thing.

Anyway, 10/10 I love this game, it's my favorite.

When i finished it, i kinda sat back in my chair like "woah."
This is a fantastic game.

introducing Portals to a FPS game added a new and dynamic layer to combat that's ridiculously fun. Was playing a game of oddball and barely escaped the enemy team with clever and quick use of portals to get to the other side of the map. Everyone seemed to either forget you could do that, or were too shocked by my stylish gameplay that they just stood there while i teabagged.
Awesome experience, 10/10 game.

Fun with friends!

Mass Effect is one of those trilogies that should be cemented in video game history, right next to the Bungie era of Halo. Worth every penny. (No, I'm not obsessed with Tali and Garrus SHUT UP)

Best with some visual mods like Waterfall, EVE, and Scatterer. I've landed on every planet and moon, rescued space stations from interstellar space, sent space stations to Laythe, all sorts of things. Such a fun game. Lately, I've been playing with RSS/RO (Real Solar System with Realism Overhaul) and I just landed 2 astronauts on the Moon. All in all, great game. Haven't had a chance to play the sequel. Also, I have far more hours in this than Steam has logged, as when I play with mod packs (like RSS/RO) i use CKAN (Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network) to launch the game, bypassing Steam completely. I likely have about 2000 hours in this, not 700.
