new Ashley insulting old Ashley absolutely sold me on her new character. her more sibling leaning relationship with Leon is also a really nice touch as it feels so much more natural than whatever was going on in the original

TLDR- good game but its got some strange gameplay choices that take a few tries to get on the first go
6/10 its worth a playthrough but buy it on sale.
Updated after playing Adas- 7/10

relatively good game though its got its problems especially when it comes to co-op campaigns- primarily with the system in the running sequences with how the timer is targeted on player 1 causing player 2 to be forced to take the lead or die.

I'd recommend to pick it up on sale as I don't find the price point worth what you get.

The story is decent albeit hard to follow and inconsistent at times, the game play on the other hand depends on which player number you are as player 2 has a slight disadvantage in running sequences and boss battles due to strange unchangeable camera angles that require you to just spam WASD to continue actually being able to run and not just die on the spot- this being especially prevalent in Chris' campaign when playing Piers in the final running section as well as Jake's with the snowmobiles like at all though that was less camera angles and more just horrible game design given the way even as player 1- I found myself stuck in the wall more than once-

on the front of story i could go on forever about why the story is mediocre-
the best story is arguably Leon's on Chris' mainly due to the fact that its clear that sherry is completely unimportant to her story being used only as a plot point for Jake and as much as I loved to see her come back I almost wished they hadn't brought her back for this game and while I haven't managed to play through Ada's at the time of writing- you practically learn hers by just playing the others and by the end it with the inconsistency of the story and the poor mechanics you're just tired.

Update: played through Ada's- Extremely fun with a Co-op partner don't know how it would be alone. Agent can't open doors, chests or do puzzles but as long as the Ada player is competent and the Agent player is willing to watch your back while you do puzzles- its a genuinely fun thing to do with a friend. Definitely one of my favourites.
