The game is fun with friends.
Some weapons are clearly better than other but what game doesn't have that problem.
The classes are surprisingly balanced in terms of their kit.
The skins, which provide NO advantages over others, are high quality.
Battle Pass rewards are cool and unique (except the level up skins but some are cool).
The chicken mechanic is unique enough to give it a try. Giving you a second chance if you can survive.
You can level up you class which is cool as you can unlock different changes that can make a play style better.
However, the bots put some people off. I personally think its fine due to new players needing help and not being stomped by veterans. (Giving them some joy in killing SOMETHING rather than nothing.)
There are quite a few collision bugs (hopefully getting fixed in OB21).
Overall, I give realm around a 7/10.
Not bad for a battle royale, it has good things going for it, but it just needs to iron out some kinks and fix some problems and balance.

I would say this game is worth it. Most of the characters are unique and are fun to play. You can really make your own kind of play style in this game with the card system and the item shop giving you complete customisation on how your character plays. The item shop is a great way to counter opponents as you can buy something to have the other team have a harder time in the fight. The events are fun each time I play them. Whether that be the recent merry maker christmas event or the rise of furia event. They usually like to spice the game up with something new and it feels great. As well as that there are champions being released frequently with spice up team comps and can effect the meta in a good or bad way which makes the game fresh and enjoyible.
However, the ammount of bugs in the game is a bit ridiculous although it's Evill Mojo's intent to fix these bugs they will probably create more in the process. Overall I do like the game but there are more issues like crashes (on rare occasions) and character balance do make it a dull.
I give Paladins a score of about 8/10 - It is a good game and it is a shame some compare it to Overwatch even though they play differently enough from each other to make it not just a rip off.
