This is abandonware. Bugs galore, incomplete builds. So many things you need mods to complete with, like water! The vanilla game does not have any water! No weather systems, no AI, nothing at all to do but build yourself a castle. Online netcode is spotty, with random packet losses and just sheer drudgery. They could have made something good with this, but they decided to quit and all go work on their other project, Space Engineer's. I wouldn't give them another red cent if I was any of you.

My 8 year old daughter left this game on overnight to the tune of 16 hours in one sitting. Gotta be good, right?

This game is quite enjoyable for a management game. Trying to keep things running when you're running out of water, oxygen, or any other thing is a challenge, but the adorableness of Klei games really keeps the moods up. It's only getting better with the frequent updates that Klei gives.

What can I say, this game should be an example of Early Access done right. They created a beautiful world that's fully fleshed out with nearly all bugs squashed. The atmosphere is out of this world, feels full of life (that wants to kill you), and everything you run across has a purpose in the ecosystem. The story is good, and IMO pretty original.

Also, one thing that made me want to write this review is while most developers want to sell the OST seperately to squeeze some more cash out of their audience, they just straight up put the OST in the game files, complete with album cover graphics. I can't respect Unknown Worlds more than that.

This 'game', if put lightly, tells a story. Without giving much towards spoiling, It's a story of hope, loss, coming to terms, and acceptance. It builds a world and shows in a snapshot its destruction. The visuals are minimalistic, with a kind of paintbrush look to it. The audio is completely music. No sounds of the world, or animals or somesuch, which is understandable since time is moving at a crawl. The story is told completely in text spread throughout the world from different points of view. Also, prepare to do a lot of walking. Lots, of walking. I enjoyed it though, and if you're someone who enjoys atmosphere and a little story, you can't really go wrong with this one.

Early Access Review
I"ve sat down planning to play just a touch of this game before going to another. Next thing I know it's 4AM and I didn't even realize it. It's unforgiving while being fair. It's got beautiful pixel art and animation. I feel I barely scratched the surface of this gem, and I"ve only explored, ahem, "Explored" 2 different areas. I feel I made a wise choice on this purchase. GO GET IT NOW.

Probably one of the best Free to Play games out there. There's some grindy, but there's nothing you can't get without trading or building things yourself.

The gameplay itself is fast paced and chaotic, and it's very fluid with the movement mechanics they have now.

Also, the graphics are awe. some. Everything has such detail to it, it feels real.

Having never played the original, I really wanted to try out the remake, especially after playing the demo on the PS3 and falling in love with the title song. The game is not complicated, weapons are varied and have different uses, and the graphics are colorful and varient.

Only gripes I may have are there's no online coop or multiplayer, sometimes the background scenery can distract you and make you think it's part of the level, and some pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enemy placements.

Overall, I'll recommend the game, especially on a sale (Capcom sale currently going on with $1.99. It's a steal). The people who complain about "Theres no jjump!!1" have trouble getting the idea of different control schemes in their head. I pity them, because they are missing an amazing game, with an even more amazing soundtrack.

Game hasn't worked for me since Lowrider update. Rockstar hasn't patched it yet. Will change this when they fix whatever they broke.

Update: So they've fixed it and I can now play it again, but in all seriousness, why would I? The story mode is fun, but once it's done, it's done. The online is where the more interesting part is.
The only thing is, online used to be fun, with only a few overpowered vehicles rampaging around, and there weren't hard to counter with some smarts. Now, we have flying bikes with homing missles, armored flying cars with homing missles, a grind that would make a machine shop go "Hey, that's a bit much", and terrible load times and hackers are STILL ever present.

A few things to do are fun. Find a decent crew and hit the casino, pretending to be best buds pre-corona outbreak. Showing off custom cars are still fun, just watch out for people who just hate life and want to blow your ride up.

But the grind is just too much. payout is next to nothing for the newer stuff, with Rock* trying their best to push shark cards on you.

This game is great. More visceral, grounded, and gritty than most FPSs. Great modding scene too, with plenty of weapon and character skins, sound packs, and other visual overhauls.

Get it!
