Absolutely amazing game. One of the most addicting and detailed economic/political simulator out there that maintains a fun game play loop. It was nowhere close to perfect on release but they are making great strides with each patch that always manages to suck me back in.

I think the criticism you see is definitely valid, however you need to look at the perspective that no other game studios come close to what Vicky 3 accomplishes. Better to be patient and give constructive feedback because the patches show they are listening to the community.
