Meat for the meat god.

Death Thrash appeals to the taste of meat eaters and formed meat people.

Just enjoy this meat filled world.

A meticolous take on a genre we're all so familiar with.

There is not much to say as the mechanics are easy enough to remember. Each corner makes you plan carefully whether to unload on a single target or pick and choose the top priority threats.

Cannot recommend this game enough, need to still finish it but ♥♥♥♥ those worms.

Played the game for a few minutes and early impression so far are pretty good.

A few problems for me that I have noticed.

-Translations, some of the sentences don't make sense. I understand that the developer's first language is not english but I think there's a bit of proofreading that needs ot be done. I don't think it's really bad but some sentences need to be reread and retyped into the game.

An example is the gold pickup. I think it would be better to have it as

xx Gold picked up

Instead of having "A few pieces of gold picked up" or "A lot of gold picked up". I understand it sounds pedantic but it's a bit more cleaner/concise design. You can track what you have picked up and what not.

There is also a bit of lore behind the game and I think it'll be a bit more enthralling and diversive experience if some of the sentences/words were redone in the game. The game's story itself is a really really original concept. I'd love to see it grow.

-The game can get a bit funny with crates on top of counters where the gold would be clipping through the counter. I missed a few(Not really fussed, plenty of currency to go around in the game) but I can see it being very annoying for people who play this game for quite a lot.

Aside from that, most of it is really just nitpicking. I'm going to get back on the game soon and play it a lot more.

To the developers, please don't stop patching. I've been eyeing this game for awhile and I've seen a constant stream of updates from you guys.

Will probably have to re-write of this review in the future when they have ironed out all the of the issues that they have encountered in this current build.

I have never been so enamoured with a game before. In this generation of disposable income games where the industry just churns out the same thing over and over again Hollow Knight is something of a rare type of gem.

I think the one thing that Hollow Knight has struck with me as an individual is the empathy and the curiosity it instilled in me when I played the game. There are a lot of nods and references to older metroidvania games(Symphony of the night) when you play you get a sense of achievement, going back to older places stronger and or having abilities that you can access it.

Also same comes with the story. The lore is just unbelievably huge. For that price tag you're expecting only a 10 hour game but you're wrong. There are tons of lore to discover, who the denizens of Hallownest and and what they(used) to do before you came to the Kingdom and what became of them. There's always something to tell you about something in this game.

Speaking of atmoshpere, and I've talked about empathy. I think another great striking point about the game is the atmosphere. I remember the very first time I've played games that left impression on me in this generation. Name a few, dragon's dogma and demon's and the first dark souls. I feel the same with Hollow Knight for it sets the atmosphere quite right in when you're venturing a certain area you can't help feel the whole level is there. It's in front of you but you can't help to feel a part of it because of how the game sets the tone and the music and the monsters.

Hollow Knight is definitely game of the year material EVEN(yes even, IMHO) squaring up to present Triple A titles with it's lore, simple yet gripping game mechanics and story that, you can't put your controller down after the first experience.
