Being banned from a server because an admin wants to play is retarded.

Can be quite fun with friends.

As it stands it is quite unbalanced and has some features left wanting.

This is a great game and had a huge part in my childhood. There were Left 4 Dead remakes to Trench warfare and my current favourite is Jail Escape. Very fun game justs needs more spotlight to increase playerbase.

This is a good game in my opinion. If we compare it to Stronghold 2 it is much the same except this game has improved graphics and castle building. I feel the game is getting bad rep so much so that they may not make a sequel ;_; So where this game primarily went wrong would be the bugs and no skirmish mode. Every game should be modable too! Overall it is like the Stronghold we all know and love without the replayability to it. I hope they make a stronghold 4 with improvements and new features maybe sea/land battles. Bigger battles and support. Or even a world domination kinda like Star Wars Battlefront with the galaxy conquer or similar to the Total War map overview. But before all that a skirmish mode that will be difficult and enjoyable. Maybe with diplomacy even as an added feature for skirmish.

Free to win but free to pay. This game is too much pay to win it hurts. Good with friends though.

I am giving this game a negative review as most of it's servers require other game data. Which I do not want to buy. As that puts this game's price to over £60 >_> They also mentioned some servers may have other game data required and gave 2 examples. I would have liked to know that MOST servers use other game data not SOME. I am not allowed to download this other data for the game I bought so really I wasted money on this "game" Very misleading and disappointing.

This game is horrible. In the disclaimer it states, "A not so buggy version of Survival mode that still needs some balancing" Well if by not buggy you mean it is playable to an extent then yes. But. The game has awful Framerate and randomly lags to the point where you cannot play the game anymore. I love the idea of the game and loved to see all the updates but in all the months I have had this game I have seen 2 updates. The first was a rewrite of the whole game to make it run better which does not seem to be very evident and the other update added the giant enemy that was advertised in the trailer. So really nothing has been added and this is very disappointing.

Oh and a god awful feature is that your archers will shoot each other if an enemy is infront of them. They have no decent AI in this game.

2015 Negative Review:
There was a time when I would recommend this to everyone (even those without computers) but this game is still filled with so many glitches and exploits that it is pathetic.
As servers die out and there are fewer around it would seem the opposite is happening for those that exploit the game. Apparently doing an overhead through the game is not an exploit as it is a part of the game.
The balance in this game is horrid. Huge example being 3d person players can play against 1st person players... yep. So they have an advantage especially if they set their FOV to the highest settings this way they can see behind themselves, more importantly, they can see you.
Many glitches still exist such as the kick attack sometimes refuses to work. People are able to block your attack without even looking at you. This is rare but extremely annoying when sneaking up on an enemy fighting someone else.
Quality of servers are deteriorating.

They removed first person deaths as well which sucks considering I play first person. Completely takes away all immersion

2016 Edit:
Review is still negative for the fact that packet loss continues to be a random problem in this game. I can have it randomly for a week then next few weeks are fine! Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game >:(

2017 Edit:
Game was messed up with customization and same errors again with packet loss.
