Early Access Review
This game, alone or with friends, is bound to make you laugh from quirky things happening or being absolutely horrified.
While playing solo essentially means playing deathless, for $10 I'd still recommend the game, sale or not. So if you have at least one other person to play with then it's an easy purchase for an enjoyable, spooky, and unique experience.

The meat of the game, just like the reviews, overwhelmingly blanket the minor bugs, and QoL changes we'd like to see. And while the overall gameplay is repetitive in nature, the possibility of playing on harder maps against more challenging enemies gives you that motivation to play through the runs for a long while- saving all the money you can.

If you have any doubts on how interesting, unique, fun, scary, etc. the game can be, note that this game is made by the same person who made "It Steals". Absolutely amazing work with myself wanting more.

In short, the game has many positive changes over Payday 2 in how you heist. However, this game is a co-op experience only. The friendly AI do not help enough, the enemies have too much defense/hp, objectives go slower, and yes there is currently no offline mode.
With friends this game is worth $20 in it's current state in my opinion, and if you aim to play solo I cannot suggest this game.

I understand the situations they have gone through, the people they are working with now, the 'new' engine they're using, but it needs a lot of changes and tweaks. Your level will not be defined by your amount of time played anymore but by your completion of everything, meaning you're forced to use all the others weapons and do all the other heists and so on.

I do not find joy in this game for the majority of the time I have played, and for the shown time that has also been myself waiting for Nebula(account), Network, and Matchmaking errors to be fixed.

I have been a fan of Payday 2 for a very long time and I can certainly suggest that bug fest of a game because it provides a fun time solo or in co-op. Once more, Payday 3 currently I cannot but if things start looking brighter in the future for the game then I shall alter my review.

If you're a nerd and want an idle game to play that isn't clicking or merging, then I'd quite highly recommend this game.

You get to learn some programming or at least understand the concept of it more while feeling like a cool rad hacker.
And that's about all the positives I'll go over- moving on to negatives.

The lack of music and sound effects make the ever existing "coding" style look of the game less interesting which is a real shame since this would be a great game to provide new and interesting music.
There also aren't any interesting effects going on in game that make me want to keep it up on my second monitor. If there were more interesting visuals then it could essentially act as an idle game and desktop background at the same time.
Where the game is currently it feels like your typical "open up, do quick tasks, minimize/close game for 24h, repeat" process. Maybe it becomes more interesting as you learn the game's programming (which is very similar to real programming minus some features), but since it's an idle game you'll also get people just looking for that aspect.
Lastly, for those who don't know programming and need to understand how to play the game, you're in for a treat. . a very subpar treat. The game has a tutorial which is competent, useful, and simple enough to understand and follow along with. What isn't as pleasant is any additional information you need. All of that info is found online like on Reddit, or in it's very long pages of information that aren't the most pleasant to look at or browse- which are opened up in your browser, not the game.

I bashed on the game a lot just now even after "highly recommending" it. This criticism comes out of love for the game's concept and wishes for either a large update, or preferably a sequel that adds/changes what I've listed above plus a bit more. If there was a second game that improved on the first and added more to those who do and don't know programming I'd pay for it, hands down.

That's all I'll say but I want to end with a tip if you do play. Rush through the game and keep doing a New Game+ as you can make it back to where you left off very quickly.

I'm not good at this game.
I do like to watch this game.
The story is confusing yet also makes sense.
I'm not sure why I bought this game.
But it's a good series so give it a go yourself.

For the first hour or two I was having quite a blast while playing. The gameplay was rather engaging and felt pretty fluid. The characters and look make me think of a stylish PS2 game but didn't downgrade the overall desire to play.

What did downgrade my desire to play was a lack of direction. As I continued to try and progress in the game I reached a point that seemed like it was a maze and the game really wasn't helping me figure out where to go. If I had to take a guess there was a single important dialog box I skipped over that said where I needed to go next only to give me nothing just after. Just myself wandering around this big dark building with prisoners I could help out- kinda like a side quest until I was lost during that too.

I will say the game is good and worth the sale price but with the chance that you have unfortunate luck like myself and have no idea where to go, I will have to say the base price isn't worth it.

If you're asking yourself why you should get tModLoader or where to start with it allow me to explain.

Terraria itself in many aspects is great. tModLoader is a mod that lets you play the game essentially how you want to play it- changing things you wish were or weren't in the base game.
There isn't a downside to installing tModLoader. The quality and content of mods by the community varies but is vast with some merely being QoL changes or others changing how everything works.

If you're a player that is so hung up on keeping the game vanilla and doesn't want to "taint" it by adding mods, I advise you to try out the community's mods for the enjoyment of what they have made- focusing on how interesting the mod is rather than how it changes the game/progression. Start small or slap in a ton of mods as it is up to you.

In terms of where to start just sort it by popularity and most likely the first 30 or so can be seen as a strong consideration toward downloading. Personally, I'd suggest getting 1-5 mods at first and later on get as many as you'd like.

I bought. I played. I was tested.
"You've got"
These are the last words I ever saw before it crashed. I had completed the test and then it crashed.
Maybe this is intentional and I'm supposed to infer it means my life is going to become a chasm of nothingness soon enough and that my natural weird nature is too much for this test to handle.
I'll try to take it again in the near future to see if something changes, but if it occurs again then I am going with the chasm route.

Edit: After the update I tried again and found the end of the game thankfully.
Secret word is: Gifted

I personally find this "game" to be quite decent indeed. Love the darker map where they come from several different places with potential trigger zones too unless the zombies just magically knew I was there from a mile away then good on them. You can't quite judge the "game" off of looks alone and truly do need to try it for yourself. Dear in the headlights kind of occurs when you suddenly see 10 of them rushing toward you at a time, quite spooky.

8/10. 31/10.

Sale or not this game is well worth the money if you also take into account tModLoader, a mod that allows you to alter the base game with community made mods.

If you want a game that's main focus is around combat and progression while catering to sandbox and exploration then I highly advise you buy this game.
I could say that practically everything is amazing and enjoyable but in the end that's preference/personal opinion. I'd like to instead mention a couple things that bring this game down a notch, but in no way do they create the possibility of this game suddenly being not worth it.

The blocks in this game can be very hard to see. While there is a zoom function which helps, a lot of ore for example look very similar. This usually only matters in the early game but either way I'm always thinking it.
The other thing is lag and co-op. Enemies rubber-band all the time in co-op and makes the experience, again, at least in the early game pretty annoying. So if your goal is to play this with a friend it is still very possible and fun, you'll just need patience in the beginning.

I'm hardly trying to convince you to buy or play this game since the overall reviews do that for me, but if you need extra convincing check out the OSTs online and the community mods from tModLoader.

Roboquest has been under a lot of changes so it's hard to make a proper review of how it currently is when it may change soon enough again.

So in general Roboquest has a fun movement system, fun guns and modifiers, and shines in this comic type style. The robots are pretty similar looking but quite different in playstyle. It's a great game that I highly recommend when fully released,

8.5/10. Good stuff.
