I enjoy combat and survival games such as War Thunder, DCS, and DayZ. I’ll play almost anything, but those are the ones I keep coming back to. The WW1 game series (Verdun, Tannenberg, Isonzo) is epic and I cannot recommend it enough.

Outside of gaming, I spend a lot of time researching soldiers of the First and Second World War. This is very personal to me, as a family member of mine served with the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry and was killed in August 1918. I collect and study original militaria, focusing on the lives of individual soldiers behind the items.

I’m always happy to discuss the stories of the men and women I’ve researched, and I’ll even take on research for others where possible.
