It'd be alright to pick up on sale - I'd give it a 3/5.

TLDR - Lots of ideas, very few followed up, but a decent short game if picked up on sale with 2-3 hours story.

Pros -
+This game feels like it has a lot of inspiration from the System Shock series as far as way of story telling and interactions.
+Lots of different voice actors for the journals.
+Moderately interesting story.
+Beginning area is very interactive.

Cons
-There's a lot of ideas here but many instances where you only use a mechanic once or twice.
-There seems like a decision impact based on how you reply but when you get to the end, that doesn't seem to affect anything.
-Voice acting often falls flat (but some are good).
-Ending seems very rushed. Big buildup about 'what I'll do when I get back' and it is not even summarized in splash screens at the end describing various endings.
-Final half is nowhere near as interactive as the first half.
*edit* -Forgot to add there's some weird collision issues and at least one wall you can just walk through to your death.

I'd like to see a version of this or another game like it more fully flushed out from this dev. There's decent bones here but it kind of feels like a showcase for a resume where you show you have all these ideas, but never really follow them all through to the end.

For a $30 story, it's a fun 6-7 hour quick run through with enjoyable gunplay.
Fans of FEAR will find this to be a spiritual successor - others will find a shooter that turns horror with slow-mo tactics and freedom of weapon choice.
Guns are violent, they feel like they have proper recoil, movement is moderately free and the slow-mo allows you to fine-tune your shots or appreciate the graphic fidelity put into it.

Only down side is that the horror of it (while great near the end) took while to build. Original FEAR built this early and was fantastic at playing this throughout. If the team makes another, I think they could easily incorporate a similar model. Still love it though - excellent job team!

I personally just enjoy the building and playing co-op with friends. It's a little difficult to play solo and a bit harder for the wear, but a real challenge to survive initially.
If the devs continue with what they promised (I am patient), this will be one hell of a game. I enjoy it already and find it fun to just build things.. or if I get the urge I can go out and kill zombies, which reaps rewards for survival as well, as long as you are careful.

To all the people complaining about the Kickstarter funds... I don't feel sorry for you, but at the same time, I do hope they find some sort of way to make it up to you. You're still supporting them and have the game for only a small bit more, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about. The kind of scale this game requires, I can only imagine is immense, so be calm and be patient. Otherwise you could always not buy beta games and complain about the time and debugging that's required.

Amazing game for any RPG player. Be sure to download DsFix and dsmFix if you plan on using mouse and keyboard. Cursor lock is in DsFix if you have multiple monitors.

One of my favorite all-time games. Download the Rebirth mod and some texture mods and you have a perfect game even by today's standards.

This game butters my biscuit. It's got the elements of a fun fps with a little bit of RPG. The exploration in these environments can keep you busy for awhile alone. Good voice acting as well.. great villain.

Large, fun game. Some puzzles require a little thought and exploration. Beautiful visuals, quick-paced and fun combat, and quirky fun vocals. Storyline's pretty decent if you give it a chance to develop. If you allow that, it's a pretty enjoyable game.

If you liked the first, this just improves on everything. Within the first 10 minutes you find yourself enjoying the dialogue and exploring areas for both the scenery and the loot.
