It took decades, but we got an Indiana Jones game that feels like Indiana Jones. The game was a lot of fun and Troy Baker is thoroughly impressive as Indiana Jones. He sounds so much like Harrison Ford that I forgot it wasn't actually him while I played through the game.

I don't normally play these hard core DnD rpgs. I never got into the original Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights or really any of the others. But I decided to give this game a try because of all the buzz and I'm very glad I did. It was an amazing experience. The gameplay was solid and using a controller worked fairly well(although I'm sure plenty will prefer the keyboard/mouse interface as opposed to the simplified controller interface). The camera was a little wonky at times, but you get used to it. Starting the game is a bit harder than you might expect. Apparently that's a problem with DnD 5e so for some that's actually a plus). Once you have leveled up your character a bit things start getting much more leveled out. By the end I felt nigh unstoppable. The story is incredibly engaging, and it feels a lot like the choices you make really matter to how things turn out. This is a real game of the year contender.

I've been playing Beat Saber for years. I would consider myself pretty good at it. I play most songs on expert+ and I generally love rhythm games. I only played a few hours of this so far, so it's more first impressions but here goes.

The game seems much more fun than beat saber. There's a flow to it that is really enjoyable. I like the music choices better so I'd give that a plus as well. Difficulty is probably a bit lower at the top end than beat saber, but I don't consider that a negative. They're difference experiences. If you're an expert+ player don't expect to be able to tackle master on first try but I was able to get through some tracks after an hour of practice.

As a workout, I think this tops beat saber. I think I got more core movement out of this than I typically do on beat saber. I got more of a sweat out of it, but that's not a great metric as I'm really used to sabers.

So far I like everything about this and I'd recommend it heavily to any VR player.

Persona 4 Golden is one of the best rpgs ever made. Now it's available on PC. The port seems barebones, but performance is excellent. You have the option to change to the original japanese voices if you would like, which wasn't something available on the original Vita release(without hacking anyway) and some fans will really enjoy the option. This is the best the game has ever looked, but it's not going to wow you with graphics so don't go in expecting that. For the price though, you can't really beat this. The story is amazing, gameplay is excellent and a single play through will provide you with 50+ hours of entertainment. New game+ provides even more value as you get to carry over money and stats to your next playthrough.

Seriously, buy this.

THE killer app for VR. If you have a vr setup, you should own this game. Excellent rhythm based gameplay that lets you feel like a Jedi.

I don't know how to explain what this is. Frankly I dont' even want to. Going in blind will make it far better. If you're down here reading reviews just stop now, play this and when you make it all the way through try to figure out just what the heck you'd have written here.

As visual novels go, it doesn't get much better than this. Depending on reading speed, you're in for about 80 hours of story that will put you on an emotional roller coaster. Alternative is the sequel to Extra/Unlimited. In the previous games you followed the main character as he first dealt with normal high school days and then when he somehow ended up in a world under attack by the BETA.

Now you get to see how it all comes together in the end. I won't say more than that about the story.

As for the game itself, what I've experienced so far makes this feel like the best version of the game. I've previously read the fan translated version and while that was good, there were some sacrifices made(including several scenes that required stopping to read a text file). While I haven't had much time with this release I can already see vast improvements. For example, in the opening scene there are english voices used and those have been re-dubbed so they now don't sound like native Japanese trying to speak english. These are scenes that were always supposed to be in english, but now they actually sound like it.

If I had one gripe it would be about a small full screen issue. When switching to full screen or starting the game in full screen, the windows taskbar will still be on top of the game. Clicking on the taskbar and then back on the game will resolve this, but it seems like an issue that should be there. This same bug seems to be in Extra/Unlimited as well. But this is literally the only issue I've noticed and it wouldn't keep me from wholeheartedly recommending this.

Just be sure to get and read Muv Luv Extra/Unlimited first!

I've had to revert my previously positive review due to unintentional lies in the product description.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME AT THIS TIME!

The description currently includes the following, "Audioshield uses an advanced version of Audiosurf 2's music analysis system to sync with any song from your collection - and also with online streaming from Youtube."

Unfortunately the developer has removed Youtube integration from the game(it was removed from Audiosurf 2 for that matter). You are no longer able to stream music from Youtube.

This is a fantastic game. It's like that old farming rpg. You know the one. Except this is better.

ConcernedApe has kept adding more and more to the game and it's just gotten better with time.

If you're looking for a relaxing game that you can sink hours into, this is what you should get.

I don't review games often. But this experience was just so bad I felt like I had to talk about it. Cringe is a word I'd imagine most people will use to describe this game. Unfortunately it's an experience that is nearly spoiled just to talk about it. So I'll do my best here to explain why I didn't like it, without giving it away.

In this game you play a girl who has been investing time in an online MMO. She begins talking to another player on the game, they begin voice chatting through the game, and from there you see how her life changes and where this "relationship" goes over the next several months. The game leads up to an event in this relationship and to its apparent end. Then the credits roll. You'll likely feel unfulfilled by this.

As for the gameplay, for parts of this experience you play that MMO while the main character talks to the guy. The gameplay is more or less a throwaway tech demo just there to give the player(you) something to do while the recorded coversation plays.

Ultimately, I found myself disappointed. I normally like these kinds of experience games. I enjoyed Gone Home, for example. But this one is just so bad it's not worth your time. It was bad enough I'll likely avoid anything released in the future by this developer.
