Lae'zel came on to me about 3 hours into the game and yet I continued to play this wonderful game - says it all really...
Update: I have sunk an additional 200+ hours into the game finding more and more ways to do quests and battles and it really doesn't show signs of getting boring any time soon.

I guess you could say this games... a hit....
No but really, very immersive, good fun and plenty to do with all the different mission stories and outfits to access various different areas.
Next step for me is trying out the VR with the game - but I thought I'd be nice and give it a 10/10 just now before VR takes the rating down any lol.
**Also anyone wanting to buy this but don't want to pay £60 I got it on G2A for £25 so check that out.**

When I say this is one of the best games I've ever played I honestly can't stress this enough. I went into playing this almost blind and put my full trust in Bethesda to produce something really special - and they did not disappoint by any means. In the small amount I've played so far let me describe why it is so good in case someone reading has cold feet when thinking of paying £60 for this.

If you are a previous Bethesda Game gamer then let me tell you what elements of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout this keeps but ultimately makes into its own. Lockpicking is a thing of the past - no bobby pins, no more irritating snap of an actual lockpick - instead learn the all new Digipick which has been a great change up in the RPG scene as you have to carefully figure out how to slot certain patterns into slots whilst not covering up certain areas so that other patterns can be applied without having to waste your Digipicks. Took me a short while to grasp the concept of it all but it has been a pleasant surprise none-the-less.

Fallout 4 brought us the the easy-access looting system where you can just hover over a body or storage and loot what you want without needing to open up an inventory menu (but all the same having that access too) and it's pretty much the exact same in Starfield - and I'm perfectly okay with that! What goes back in progress ever so slightly but by no means in a bad way is that you, the protagonist, don't have voice-actor-spoken lines but personally I find this perfectly reasonable as not only could you be from anywhere with any accent but you meet people of so many variants of accents - I've met Irish, English, American, Russian, Spanish and many other various accents that liven the game up so much more than hearing a similar actors voice several times throughout your playthrough!

Map size is something so unique and special as any of the galaxies you visit you can LITERALLY VISIT ANY PLANET OR MOON!! In some cases it may not be wise as being close to the sun results in scorching hot temperatures as well as potential lethal corrosives and being further away will result in the opposite with frostbite being your worst enemy until you hold up in a cosy warehouse with some Ecliptic's who will try and ruin your day. But corresponding to any planet you need to pick out the right spacesuit, helmet and other attire to help survive your chosen environment - and for those who appreciate just the little things in life: you can set it so your spacesuit and helmet are only visible when they are only necessary but still give you the armour and other bonuses that they come with without looking like you never take the things off!

I could go on forever. Like I honestly can't stop trying to persuade my friends to buy this but I will finish on this note. Spaceship flying, jetpack boosting, zero gravity planets, mining, ballistic, energy or electro-magnetic weapons, all-new persuasion dialogue (personally love), pirates, docking ships, exploding ships, buying ships, fully customising ships and lastly... Aliens. Maybe. But maybe not... You'll just have to buy it and find out...

Took me years to finally play FONV but I did it and loved every minute of it. First Fallout I ever played was 4 so was interesting seeing one of the two games (Fallout 3 being the other) that blew up the Fallout franchise tow what it is today. The gambling was fun too apart from losing all my caps... solid 8/10 game though - could be a 9/10 just because of the music though if I'm honest!

I bought this game and instantly regretted it because of how bad things were but then the wonderful world of Nexus Mods turned this game into an aesthetic and authentic masterpiece. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT MODS.
