For the first time in a while, I am writing a review on Steam solely because of other people's extreme and somewhat absurd responses. Battlefront was NEVER a game solely made to focus on online and this is apparent due to the original server browser design, which is very archaic compared to other games in the same era. Not only that but people were convinced this game would have some AAA server set up equivalent to EA Battlefront. This game was built upon the single-player/local gameplay, which is running better than it has been, even on the other versions of both games. This is a monumentally better experience than any of the OG Steam versions, especially if you look at the terrible excuse of a UI in the OG Battlefront 2.

Some improvements I have noticed:
- Textures are improved and are noticeably sharper. These most likely are AI upscaled, but in no instance did I see them looking worse than their original counterparts.
- Materials seem to have been updated so that metal things reflect light and look more like metal.
- The UI is improved drastically for Battlefront 2 since it never really had one on PC, including widescreen and SteamDeck support.
- The game can run at higher frame rates and newer resolutions, which is an issue with the original builds.
- Achievements have been added.
- Collectible Steam cards were added.
- A few new accessibility settings were added such as more legible text and colorblind settings
- Game runs fantastically on the SteamDeck, just maybe adjust the sensitivity settings to your liking.
- The Aspyr team has been active in increasing public servers to accommodate the influx of users.
- The game is now 64-bit, unlike the original 32-bit application.
- Has functioning LAN support.
- Easy to switch between the two games.

Some negatives:
- Bot logic causes some to spin in circles instead of contributing to the team.
- Occasional unknown crash when playing private lobby.
- In Battlefront 1 online multiplayer, sometimes the lobby does not show in the list and one cannot join via Steam, despite the owner having set up a lobby.
- Could use some compression to reduce overall game size.

Some things I want:
- Steam workshop support would be a godsend for the community.
- 4-player split-screen.
- Online Galactic Conquest.
- Modernization to only search (match composer or something like that).
