It got me addicted especially at first, but game sux NGL...

If it wasn't abandoned, it could've probably been a really engaging game with more patching and development, especially since:
- The puzzles that are scattered around in side quests are a nice addition.
- The psychological horror element at times was well planned.
- The overall game map feels like it was a good start to build on top of it and enrich it as the game progresses in development.
- I like that you can tame wolves and deer for help even though that turns you into a constant carer of them, zooming around to find them food so that they won't turn against you.
- There is an attention to keep the game a bit challenging as you progress, by introducing tougher enemies.

That being said, the amount of annoying bugs that get thrown at you breaks the overall experience regardless of good aspects:
- More bugs than a swamp in July: there's a place where you can apparently fight the Wendigo, when I tried to do that, it bugged out of existence on the first attack and never came back even after I left the place and returned later. Others have reportedly managed to kill it and gain headgear from it.
Same thing would happen with regular enemies, they would sometimes bug out and get stuck on the doors or in the walls or somewhere in between stories of a building i.e. they get stuck there forever.
Also some quests would tell you to go check somewhere or do something and never actually update after you do that, and they stay stuck like that forever.
- The fact that there's there 0 voice acting and loads of text to read even when playing recorded audio messages, takes a bit out of the experience as well IMO. Not to mention that sound design in the game overall is subpar to say the least.
- The food spoilage system is sort of non-important, like a cucumber or a piece of meat can reach the lowest spoiled/expired state but still be edible and nutritious without any bad effects. The only thing I noticed is that the healing effect of such food is usually lower or non-existent compared to non-spoiled food, but still it feels like it does nothing.
Same thing can be said about the many effects the game has, I don't think they were well -designed nor -incorporated for anyone to care enough about them.
- Achievements triggering at odd times, sometimes before they are due and sometimes later than they are supposed to, which adds to the feeling of a buggy game.

I would still give it 6-7/10 but unless someone is a survival game fanatic, I wouldn't say this would be much of a missed expereince if you skipped on it.

Definitely recommended despite no' bein' a polished product graphics an' UX-wise.
The campaign wis well built wi' a calculated increase in difficulty an' new variables tae keep the game engagin' while introducin' new enemies an' upgradin' their attack potential as ye progress through the levels.
Ah even had tae replay a couple o' missions tae get mair upgrade points an' gie it anither go, especially wi' the Buckingham Palace level, so Ah'd say the campaign difficulty wis spot-on.

A quick non-review-related word:
That English enemy unit that lobs tea-pots at ye an' causes splash damage is such a pain in the arse, ♥♥♥♥ that guy.

Crashes or bugs
Ah luckily havnae experienced too many crashes, but there are some incidents o' weird behaviour:
  • The units cannae reach a defence machine ye placed a bit near the water or another machine, even though there's a clear visible path.

  • There wis a thing that happens efter ye've already placed a number o' defence machines, where if ye pick a new yin tae build, it wid immediately build it where the mouse wis pointin', instead o' lettin' ye choose a place. This happened consistently, an' Ah had tae pick the tower when the mouse wis pointin' ower a non-suitable terrain tae prevent an immediate build.

  • This yin wis just funny tae see: when ye sell a machine that's occupied by a Scotsman, he'll slide ower the terrain wi' his hands up in the air tae the nearest unoccupied machine.

I remember really liking the looks of this game when it first came out, unfortunately it took me some time to get it and eventually play it. But it surely doesn't disappoint despite being quite a small game in general.
The difficulty of the puzzles is for the most part, easy-medium with some difficulty spikes in some levels in the second world.
Then there are the nightmare mode worlds which are the same worlds as the main ones but with added goals which levels up the difficulty for almost all the levels.

There are however, some really finicky and annoying aspects relating to achievement triggers:
- The achievement about getting woken up by all 4 types of enemies doesn't trigger unless you get woken up by all 4 in the same game session. Which is something not mentioned in the achievement's description and I wouldn't have known that, had I not gotten frustrated and searched for the problem online..

- The Elitist achievement about playing while the clock is 13:37 also wouldn't trigger unless your computer clock was on the 24-hour format which is sort of understandable but still kinda annoying in a way.

7.5/10 would recommend for quick puzzle enthusiasts.

What the games does good:
It's not buggy, the puzzles are decent enough with a good visual style overall.

Other than that, the horror aspect is a bit all over the place, but it's still unsettling at the very least.
Also the dialogue and story line is comical at many points so it ruins the whole horror feel of it.

Final score would range between 3 to 5 out of 10

8/10

As a civilian, I'm glad to have experienced the POV of all the militants in my country's civil war through JC2!

Realistic:
- Panau gets divided into sub-states for each group
- The Agency is too similar to *insert every foreign interest* also is too Central and much Intelligence
- Scorpio hangs around after the "mission" is done
- Great way to show people that you mean business is to target infrastructure buildings!

Unrealistic:
- Not enough civilian areas are completely destroyed, and no damn civilian mass migration smh..
- Oil storage gets blown up instead of captured, what a waste, you could've sold it to black market dealers,
come on, learn how to war-hustle y'all

The description calls the games featured in this terrible, I found them pretty interesting, I guess I have a ♥♥♥♥ taste..
so if you also have a ♥♥♥♥ taste that makes you like weird puzzle games and/or want to play -the game that everybody brings up to say Minecraft was a ripoff- Infiniminer, then this "book" is for you!

Interesting concept for a puzzle game but as with all the mobile games which are thrown on Steam without any optimization for PC, it's surely not perfect.

The story is about helping a person remember his lost memories through solving puzzles and you unlock a scene with a caption each few levels, now that I finished the whole game, I can easily say that the story was a bunch of gibberish sentences badly narrated by a fake wise voice and nothing made sense at the end of it.

To solve the puzzles you move the camera until some shape pops out, which works well for both mouse controls and touch screen, but that mechanism could be used as a cheating method because the camera reacts in a certain way when you're near the correct angle in some levels.
I also remember finding a correct shape in some levels but not passing the level because it wasn't the right one and that was kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Hints unlock every 5 minutes, and the first one tells you what shape you are looking for, not knowing what you're looking for isn't much of a problem except in some specific levels where it gets confusing, still, I don't see why hints should be raining nonstop since that's not how puzzle games work, and even though that putting an option to buy hints is kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but since you can beat the game without someone "forcing you" to buy hints, I don't see a problem in it and I don't get why a lot of people are giving negative reviews for this specific reason.

Recommended on a good sale.

Should've released this for phones only judging by the game's quality and gameplay.

The game's dictionary is all around the place, not accepting normal every day words like "who re", "frat", "pee" and "fa rt" yet accepting the plural of the first one "♥♥♥♥ es" and other words which stopped being relevant a while ago like "cincture" plus some modern unnecessary words like "se xt" and "brunch", not mentioning the weird thing with names where some of them randomly get accepted and others don't..

Other than having a lot of missing words, the game has a pretty basic UI and feels like it was made for phones and then thrown on Steam for some extra profit.

Still, I must say that the game did pack a bit of a challenge, considering it lacked so many words.

Certainly not recommended at full price, not at its current state.

This is a rather interesting puzzle game and a must-have for fans of the genre, where you get hired by a hacking company to solve a bunch of puzzles and infiltrate a system to obtain some pieces of data, needless to say that the story is trivial but that's normally expected from a puzzle game.
The puzzles are mildly difficult and only get a bit tricky in Co-op mode.

In general, the game's visuals need a bit of polishing alongside some adjustments to the physics involving the player's movement, in addition to that, I had to restart a level from the beginning after dying on the edge of the level because I kept respawning outside of the level.
And not forgetting that this game's store page has a Multiplayer tag when it actually only supports Singleplayer and Co-op modes. So, adding a Multiplayer feature would be great instead of just having the tag...

But regardless of its flaws and after completing the game, I'd surely recommend it while hoping that the dev/devs will release some updates to both fix the issues mentioned above and to probably add more content to this nice game.
