Early Access Review
This game is INSANE! I just googled a little to check for the next VR releases two days before release. What I've read and seen about it made it clear for me to buy the game when it releases.
Sure it's a MMO release, so servers are full, hat a few crashes here and there and couldn't connect, but that's totally normal.
But when I got into the game it was awesome! Everyone around you was so impressed and excited to find out all its features.
Since there are no boundaries on the map like in many other non-VR MMOs I just decided to climb the biggest mountain in sight and it was totally worth it. Insane view. It makes you feel so free, it's funny.
We all know how most VR games look like. By looks and content wise. Which is fine. We play rythm games because they are simple, work on every headset and are fun. We fight in arenas or small dungeons and it's fun. But it's all still pretty small. Because those games need a lot of ressources of our PCs.
I haven't seen a lot of this game but even the first wide map/field was already huge with a lot to discover for a VR game. I don't know how many more maps/environments there are, but it's crazy that such a relatively small developer makes such a great game. Even as a VR game and just released early access game it already feels extremely polished. I ran into almost no trouble and it's so smooooth. The "simple" anime style of course helps with performance. But it runs so great for such a big world, early access, small studio, maaany players after launch and so on. And almost every minute you find out about new mechanics, more content you didn't know about, etc.
Can't wait to discover it even more.

As expected after the beta: This game is still in alpha/beta and just got released for christmas. The Frostbite engine was known for awesome visuals with insanely good performance. There's not much left of it. The game looks strange and pixelated compared to every previous BF. The performance is not the worst but pretty bad for its looks.
Once all bugs, bad performance and stuff got fixed it might have some potential for at least some fun hours.
However way too many bad design decisions probably ruined the Battlefield series. Such as weird sliding, movement, specialists and their abilities. As everyone said it feels more like a Apex Legends, CoD mix. In this BF there is not much BF left unfortunately.
But as I said, once bugs/performance and stuff are fixed it might be some fun when it's viewed as another random shooter insead of expectations of a real Battlefield game. If that's the case I might update the review.

Solid, nice and fun game. Deserves way more attention than it currently has. <3

Ruined since last big update unfortunately. Maybe they'll fix all the issues.

The gameplay itself is fun. But unfortunately only for a very short time since you'll have everything unlocked within a very short time. Also you get stuck into some sort of loop very quickly in which you are almost invinsible and could continue for days in a single run.
My main issue though is that there is no motivation for coming back to the game the next day. There is a daily challange which would solve this problem. Unfortunately though you have unlimited attempts which pretty much makes the whole daily challenge pointless since it's more of a "run it as many times as possible, note and remember where which item is so you can do the fastest run" instead of a challenge where you use what you've learned so far. So it's more of a daily memory game and you compare your single run with people who did the daily for 6h.
Had the big potential but unfortunately missed it.

This game always pushes me back to Civ V. What annoys me the most in Civ VI is that they tried so hard giving those weird mobile game characters a personality, it ruins the whole game being told that "I'm not worthy cuz my religion isn't as he wished" or "I'm a bad leader cuz my army isn't as big as he expected it to be". So you always know who you'll fck up the most each match as soon as you meet a civilization the first time.
In Civ V though they had some sort of hidden personality which developed depending on the match's situation. So that in one match you and Gandhi having a bromance while in the next match he'll try to burn you alive depending on your both situation. In Civ VI you already know from the beginning who you will have a bromance with and who will try to fck you up.

By far the very best VR rythm game out there. And yes, I've played the actual "#1" out there which is nothing compared to Synth Riders (in my opinion of course). It always gets my back to Synth Riders because I'm totally into dancing and this game makes you dance. The maps make you dance, the atmosphere makes you dance and the music makes you dance. I'm totally into darker tunes like Dark Techno, Dark Electro, Synthwave and stuff but I catch myself all the time playing the Electro Swing ones instead of the Cyberpunk or Synthwave ones.
However the music choice in this game is on point, it's awesome and perfectly hits it. You don't need any custom songs unless the genres they offer are absolutely not yours.
I'm fairly new to VR for about half a year now and played many different games by now. This one is my #1 choice.
Only thing I wish for is a better time for the weekend events for EU since those are very late on the sundays starting right when I and many others probably go to bed for work on monday. Maybe a few hours earlier or even better on friday or saturday (EU) evening too.
Keep being awesome. <3

Just an upvote which this game deserves apart from (a lot) of bugs to fix. There are too many "butt-hurt because I overhyped the game and now I'm surprised that it isn't as I expected, therefore I downvote the game" reviews around.
