Squad isn't just a game; it's a commitment. A commitment to teamwork, communication, and Toxic Milsimers. It's not for the faint of heart, but for those seeking a truly immersive and challenging military shooter, Squad delivers in spades.

The High Ground:

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Squad lives and breathes teamwork. Forget lone wolf heroics; here, success hinges on coordinating with your squad, communicating effectively, and executing strategies as a cohesive unit. It's a refreshing change of pace from the run-and-gun chaos of many other shooters.
Communication is Key: Squad features an excellent VoIP system that allows for clear and nuanced communication within your squad, between squad leaders, and across the entire team. You'll need to master the art of concise and informative callouts if you want to survive.
Authenticity Reigns Supreme: From weapon handling and ballistics to vehicle operation and battlefield tactics, Squad strives for realism. This authenticity creates a tense and immersive experience that truly captures the feeling of being a soldier in a modern conflict.
Combined Arms Warfare: Squad offers a diverse range of vehicles and roles, allowing players to experience every facet of modern warfare. Whether you're leading the charge as a tank commander, laying down suppressing fire as a machine gunner, or coordinating logistics as a squad leader, there's a role for everyone.
Large-Scale Battles: With support for up to 100 players, Squad delivers massive and chaotic battles that unfold across expansive maps. Each engagement feels unique and dynamic, with shifting front lines and unpredictable enemy movements.
Constant Evolution: The developers are actively involved in the community and regularly release updates with new content, bug fixes, and gameplay improvements. This dedication ensures that Squad remains a fresh and engaging experience.
The Trenches:

Steep Learning Curve: Squad is not a pick-up-and-play shooter. It demands patience, dedication, and a willingness to learn its intricate mechanics and teamwork-focused gameplay. New players may feel overwhelmed initially.
Reliance on Teamwork: While teamwork is a strength, it can also be a weakness. A poorly coordinated or uncommunicative squad can lead to frustration and a less enjoyable experience.
Performance Issues: Despite ongoing optimization efforts, Squad can be demanding on hardware. Players with lower-end systems may experience performance issues, especially in large-scale battles.
Overall:

Squad is a demanding but rewarding experience that offers a unique and authentic take on the military shooter genre. Its focus on teamwork, communication, and realism sets it apart from the competition. While it has a steep learning curve and can be reliant on cooperative teammates, the intense and immersive gameplay makes it a must-play for fans of tactical shooters.

Arma Reforger. It's like that friend who shows up to the party with a top-shelf bottle of whiskey but then proceeds to spill half of it on themselves while trying to open it. There's a lot of potential here, a lot of potential, but it's still got some growing up to do.

The Good Stuff:

Engine-ious: Bohemia Interactive clearly put their best coders on this one. The Enfusion engine is a beast, rendering beautiful scenery and churning out some seriously impressive physics. Think of it as the foundation for a really, really awesome house party... that's still under construction.
Mod-ern Marvel: The modding community has embraced Reforger like a long-lost child. Want to drive a tank made of cheese? There's probably a mod for that. This constant influx of content keeps things fresh and adds a whole lot of replayability (assuming you can find a server that isn't running the cheese tank mod...).
Guns That Go Boom (Properly): Remember those pea shooters in Arma 3? Yeah, those are gone. In Reforger, guns have weight. You feel every shot, and the ragdoll physics when you connect? Chef's kiss. It's like the developers finally discovered what recoil is.
Sensory Overload (in a good way): The environment is stunning, from the rustling leaves to the distant chirping of birds (who are probably plotting their revenge for all the virtual bullets you're pumping into the landscape). The sound design is top-notch too, immersing you in the action. You'll flinch at every gunshot and curse every errant grenade.
The Not-So-Good Stuff:

Now, here's where things get a bit... messy. Yeah, that's kind of a recurring theme.

Buggier Than a Summer Camp: Reforger can be buggy. Like, really buggy. Expect the occasional crash, some physics glitches that would make Newton spin in his grave, and AI that sometimes seems to operate on the logic of a particularly confused goldfish.
Content... Where Art Thou?: While the modding scene is booming, the base game can feel a bit thin. There are only two factions, two maps, and a limited number of weapons and vehicles. It's a solid foundation, but it definitely needs more meat on its bones.
Interface Issues: The UI can be clunky and unintuitive at times. It's like trying to navigate a spaceship control panel while wearing oven mitts. You'll get there eventually, but it's going to be a frustrating journey.
Optimization Woes: Even with a beefy PC, Reforger can struggle to maintain a smooth frame rate. Be prepared for some stuttering and performance dips, especially in large-scale battles.
Overall:

Arma Reforger is a promising game with a lot of potential. It's got a fantastic engine, a dedicated modding community, and some of the best gunplay in the series. However, it's also plagued by bugs, a lack of content, and some questionable design choices. If you're a die-hard Arma fan, you'll probably enjoy it despite its flaws. But if you're new to the series, you might want to wait until it's had a bit more time to mature.

Final Verdict: Buy it on sale, play with friends, and keep your expectations in check. And maybe invest in a good bug spray.

Horrible waste of time, first I received expired token for the first two days trying to play, proceeded by the game deleting itself when trying to verify files. Now I have finally got into the main menu, I have never been able to get into a match, just continues to place me in one, sits at the loading screen for several minutes and then kicks me back to main menu.

I don't recommend even trying this ****! I played this during free play test period and it was fine, not sure how they managed to **** it so bad!

Great strategy game, one which is nice and casually relaxing, this is a game that over time you will notice that you will improve! Not something your just good at. Very much based on the WC3 mod. Devs are active and making all the right balances consistently. I Recommend this game for anyone that's into a great TD Auto Battler!

Space Engineers is a fun game, filled with exploration and crafting. start small with nothing but a hand drill and eventually build mining operations all over the galaxy if you so desire!

SPLITGATE!!!!! Pretty Fun game, not to many shooters these days make me laugh quite as much as this one does! Fast paced with intelligent map design. Really gives that Quake/Halo/with Portals feel. A nice Arena Shooter with a twist.

THE GAME IS EARLY ACCESS!

The Game takes some getting used to but the 1hr I have played it wasn't too bad, being an owner of Dayz from the start this game comes face to face with it but knocked Dayz out simply because the Zombies are more optimized than a game that's been in development for 10 year! Hope to see this game progress into something wonderful and do everything others said they would do but couldn't deliver! on a side note I'm running the game on a dinosaur of a computer at the moment (not main rig) rocking 15- 20 fps on a GTX 460 lol. I was surprised it ran!
