A must have for if you own a Deck, turn off your brain and enter an endless loop of gitting gudder.

It's such an easy game to pick up and feel like you accomplish something with the bros. A perfect smorgasbord of sci-fi pop culture references, and an interesting take on the extraction genre. As someone who has pretty much phased PvP out of my gaming preferences, I love that this game caters to teamwork and promotes awesome buddy moments.

Early Access Review
I should have reviewed this game months ago, but it was truly the most fun and closest experience to actual Battlefield intensity I have had since the early days of BF3 ten years ago. The formula is there and the graphics seem off-putting but are actually very charming. Lots of fun.

My 5 year old is miserable if he doesn't get to drag my yellow corpse with the UFO beam at least once a day

There is very little to be said about this game that hasn't been said. It is the best way to DnD by yourself without sitting down and just writing a book. I am only ankle deep and the experiences so far have dodged all the cliche of modern fantasy. It is absurd, wildly clever, and I am terrified of reaching the next act because I want to absorb everything I can from it. I am, admittedly, a side line watcher of DnD for many years. Certain terminology still escapes me and at times I definitely feel like a monkey pulling levers and switches, save scumming to save my poor caveman brain choices. It is very forgiving if you are unfamiliar with the tabletop RPG environment, not hand-holdy, but a wink and a nod to push you in the right direction if you find yourself stumbling. If your character is a meat wall with two brain cells fighting for third place, your companions can compensate for your, erm, lack of situational awareness.

I love that your plans can entirely unravel in one turn of combat, or your fortune can completely recover in a single action.

A hag turned invisible and upon throwing a bottle of grease at her, I watched her slip like a Three Stooges bit before my Tiefling love interest Dom Mommy yeeted her off the swamp cliff.

Played Co-op with my 5 year old. Had many laughs. Had many cries. Of laughter. Tons of fun.

Despite GLARING issues that have yet to be formally addressed by 343 pertaining to the Micro-Transaction nightmare, this feels like it deserves it's place in the Halo pedigree.

The game is tight, the controls translate exceptionally to PC, and I am satisfied beyond what I ever expected. Microsoft made such an intelligent decision with biting the bullet and opening up the PC ecosystem to the Xbox catalog. I will recommend this game right now as the MTX don't affect the gameplay, but it really needs to be reevaluated, it's quite ridiculous at the moment. It also needs more player choice in game modes played, but I imagine that's coming down the pipeline.

TL;DR: The game is good. Will be great with time and more balancing, but the MTX really put a damper on the feeling of progress.

This game ignites in me a nostalgic era of 90s flight sims like TIE Fighter. It makes me hopeful that EA will focus on smaller more focused endeavors with the exclusive license rather than flounder with too bloated titles like Battlefront. This concise but focused effort makes for a fun time to hop into for a few rounds.

It's my guilty pleasure. Always come back to Rust. All it takes it one great server.

Update Nov '22: Game keeps giving and it's almost ruined my marriage more than once. Wipe day, honey, can't talk!
