ARC. I could say it was a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to modern games. I loved the game for the first 80-ish hours. It was super fun to hop on every day, discover new stuff, do the trials—the battles were intense and fun. But then it just became super boring. I wouldn’t say there’s nothing to do, but it’s just so under-saturated.
There were a lot of changes I didn’t like from the initial release, like the weapon “debuffs” (which didn’t do anything), the snow event—which was basically “we just added some snow lol, have fun doing the trials where you need to throw snowballs at the arcs”—and finally the security locker changes. Hear me out: the security locker was the sole reason you were sweating not to get railed by other teams. It was fun. It was one single place where you knew, “WE NEED TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL.” The loot from it was S-tier.
But speaking of loot, the blueprints… they made them way too easy to get now. It was so rewarding fighting for a locker to get a blueprint; now you just find one anywhere.
One more thing: the campers. It’s really, really not fun fighting against someone who literally extract-camps. I know the devs can’t really do anything about this, but it’s still so annoying spending hours crafting good gear just to lose it in less than 20 minutes.
I liked ARC when it came out. It was something new. The idea of the game is amazing, and the world itself is amazing, but the changes they made just disappoint me. I do, from time to time, hop on for an hour or two, but it’s just not the same. I changed my review from positive to negative because of these factors—it’s just not as fun.
This is just my opinion on the game after about 3 months. I know I only have around 130 hours in the game, but it’s just not as fun. I really wish there was a way to play this game for the first time again, but there isn’t… also, WHO THOUGHT OF THE WHOLE EXPEDITION IDEA? THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE IT LIKE EVERY OTHER GAME WHERE EVERYONE GETS RESET.

I’ll give it a 6/10 (you know, this is just my opinion, right?).
