*EDIT NEW REVIEW*
its becoming clear that the devs themselves dont play their game, and dont have much idea of the actual problems going on with balance. the past few updates have dont nothing but break the game even further into such an un-enjoyable state that I've given up hope that this game will be successful in the long run.
they are continuously changing classes in such minimal ways that it doesn't matter, Druids, and Rouges are able to simply defeat entire lobbies of players, sometimes without even being hit, or seen by anyone else. This is just completely unfair, and ruins the game for anyone else not using these classes with the specific builds to make them over-powered.
There exists an enchantment that allows one to restore life on hit, while having certain classes be able to attack several times per second allowing them to heal 30-60 health per second while fighting, ontop of getting shields to block damage, or slow their opponents to a near crawl and run away.

I no longer recommend this game to anyone

2/10 go play something else.

Its like a polished version of Dark and Darker.
Combat is fairly fluid and easy to grasp.
dying to an NPC mob feels fair, like I'm the one that messed up, not dying to some BS mechanics.
hitboxes are nice, hitting on the head actually hits the head, missing actually misses. You can even heavy attack skeletons and break their arms off. everyone complaining about them is just bad at aiming.

PvP balance is ongoing, but the game is not even a month old at the time of writing this, so obviously some things are going to be stronger than others as they work to balance classes.

that being said, knowing your class and your strengths is a big thing.
a melee class out in the middle of a field is obviously going to lose to a caster at range. But that same melee class inside a room is going to demolish the caster.
Most negative reviews seem to be because people don't understand positioning. If you're a class that struggles with melee, don't enter melee range.. simply don't enter an area that you wouldn't thrive in. There is a great mix of indoor, and outdoor areas that both provide high amounts of loot.
or because they don't understand how to easily start with good gear (unlock the heirloom gear, sell stuff in the trade tab, and buy some gear. its very very VERY easy)
I can get in and out in about 8 minutes with a full inventory almost every match. fairly consistently.
learning the other classes, their abilities, and how each class is able to use those abilities in a combo is very helpful.
as well as your own class, and how to combo your abilities can be the biggest difference between life and death in PvP

overall I'm loving this game, im excited to see the changes the devs are going to make and if you like extraction looter games, this is a pretty good one to go for.

8.5/10
Highly reccomended.

combat is janky as hell, and feels completely unfair. healing does nothing. and the game gives no guidance for how to even escape the map.
avoid this game.
go for dungeonborne instead. its like a polished version of this game.

Great game. Love it.
Its like asteroids 2.0
You can either embrace randomness and just go with what you get, or you can selectivly choose what upgrades to take to make you as strong as posssible. I highly recommend playing with wild mods turned on to add some more varity.
Def worth the price.

I refunded Cyberpunk 2077 and used that money to buy this. definitely worth it.

challenging and exhilarating when you complete an area flawlessly.
quickly restart levels at the press of a key after failing, no loading screen, you can set it so you'll restart instantly anytime pressing this key, not just after a fail.
there are usually multiple ways to approach a combat area, sometimes trying a different path is all you need to succeed.
you can also turn on a stats display that will show your current deaths and running time.
I love that they have a demo of the beginning of the game.

EDIT: after completing the game, and going through again, I am much better and its so much more satisfying.

I was using the sensory boost (slow time) for almost every enemy at the start, but now I can handle normal enemies just like in the trailer. just a quick dodge to the side and strike.

if you take the time to learn the mechanics and the levels, you'll have so much fun. this game was made for speedrunners.

its like.. titanfall + superhot but you're a ninja.

i feel like i could wreck as Genji in overwatch.

My friend and I kept accidentally killing each other with lighting strikes.
spent 80% of the time messing with each other.

10/10 would zap again. (but he wont play it again lol)
