This is a great game. It has an engaging story that is intentionally kept vague during the beginning and filled in as you continue to explore and continue through the story. I had personally watched a play-through before I purchased the game and even though I had knowledge of what was coming, the atmosphere in the game constantly kept me on edge (even in places that I knew from the play-through that I was safe in) and kept compelling me to keep going. It definitely caused some screams from me on occasion which made it all the more fun. In terms of graphics, SOMA's HPL3 engine is beautiful and provides an experience that feels seamless at times, loading is done in the background as you play, only a few lags here and there but I'm sure my aging hard disk was a factor there.

Frictional Games has outdone themselves again. 10/10 would definitely play again, definitely looking forward to the mod community making custom stories, and would definitely recommend to those who have even already watched a play-through. The game is immersive enough that even those who already know the story and have seen the full game can enjoy. I was playing for about 6-8 hours nonstop and when I was finished, I turned to my roommate and was like "I REALLY PLAYED THIS FOR 6-8 HOURS?!? WOW!"

First game to engage me like that in a long, long while.
