Please note: This game is not Frostpunk 1.5.

If you wanted more of FP1 then you won't find it here. What you'll find instead is a new direction for the game, going from an up close and personal city builder to a tile-based society survival game. I personally loved the gameplay switchup and enjoyed everything new added to the table. I love that 11 Bit tried something new instead of going with the easy approach and I think they've nailed it. One thing to note is that late game performance can be quite bad depending on your setup, especially in utopia builder mode (for example I was getting 25fps at 3x speed in utopia mode at week 950).

My only real complaint was regarding the pacing in the story mode, felt like I didn't get enough time to really expand Winterhome before the civil war .

Sidenote: The OST hits so damn hard well done Piotr you've outdone yourself!

Best horror game of the year, no doubt. Will update review later but for now that's all you really need to know.

Recommended for series fans, but not currently for newcomers.

PAYDAY 3 is quite a contentious game at the moment for sure, but now that the servers are fixed I felt like it was a decent time to put a review up.

+ Gameplay is quite refined from PD2 (honestly think it plays better in almost every way)
+ Stealth has seen a huge overhaul and is much more engaging to play with lots of options to get through the heist (including maskless runs!)
+ Guns feel great and enemies have enough health without being spongey.
+/- While only having 8 heists at launch isn't the greatest, I think they all play quite well and offer a good variation between them.
+ Gustavo hit it out of the park with the OST imo, Gold and Sharke is an absolute classic.

- Online only, for obvious reasons this hasn't been the best decision but I'm hopeful for a future inclusion of solo offline play.
- Progression system needs lots of work to be in a great place, there's some good ideas but it really sucks getting no xp from completing a heist because you didn't complete any challenges (devs have confirmed that they will work on an overhaul in the future, but for now this system isn't great.)
- General menu UI is quite annoying to navigate, especially the challenges menu.
- Limited amount of content at launch, this will obviously be rectified with post-launch updates but still isn't fantastic.
- Solo play isn't great in loud, especially on the higher difficulties where the bots fall over if they're breathed on.

Overall, I feel PD3 has a great foundation and the time spent in-game is super fun, however there are things that hold it back from being great at the moment. These will be addressed over time but for now I wouldn't recommend the game unless you love the PAYDAY series already. Give it a few months.

Wow, this DLC just adds so much to the base game that I can't really imagine the game without it. One thing to note is that this should be played after finishing the base game to get the full experience.

But yeah, Mobius did the impossible again. Well done.

No More Room in Hell is an atmospheric zombie survival game. That much can be gathered from the game's description. NMRiH balances a dark gritty theme with gameplay very well, each reload calculated and each melee swing hard hitting in order to convey the stress of the situation you and up to 7 other survivors are facing.

Essentially, think of NMRiH as a slow paced version of Contagion, which itself is a slower pace version of Left 4 Dead.

The good:

- Well done atmosphere with gun and sound design suited to the game.

- A decent amount of challenge, especially on harder difficulties.

- Voice wheel allowing those without mics (or those that prefer not to talk) to easily use voice commands (text chat also exists)

- Survival horror inventory management (should you take 2 guns with ammo or 1 gun with melee? What about meds and other utility like torches and barricade hammers?)

- Infection mechanic which allows for a fun way to troll friends (tell others you're infected or hide it?)

- Well optimised (it's a Source mod, what would you expect otherwise?)

- Great maps that really help to immerse you in the NMRiH world.

- Workshop support (seriously the workshop is a godsend for games that have it, allowing for a centralised mod browser where if you find a mod you want all you have to do is just click 'Subscribe'. Why more games with modding support don't already have Workshop support is beyond me.)

The bad:

- Low player count (not a huge problem provided you find the right server/s or play with friends)

- Can be frustrating at times with a bit of jank regarding melee (understandable, this game certainly won't be for everyone)

- Graphics (pretty subjective, some believe the Source engine helps to ground the game in a realistic setting while others would believe that the engine is simply too old for modern standards)

In conclusion, if you like coop survival games, NMRiH is an easy recommendation. The game is even free so if you don't like it, don't worry, you don't need to invest anything into it.

For those that like/love this game though, NMRiH 2 is currently in development with an unknown release window but the devs sound confident in a 2021 release (whether that's Early Access or full release is unknown).
