Moonlight slices through the broken windows in sharp angles. The air hangs heavy with dust and silence. JESTER leans against a rusted beam, one gloved hand spinning a silver coin over his fingers, his painted smile more mask than emotion. Across the room, SHADOW stands still—more presence than person, wrapped in black, his face hidden beneath a low hood.

(softly, amused)
Funny how it always ends like this.

SHADOW
(calm, cold)
It never ends, Jester. Only resets.

The coin stops mid-spin. Jester catches it, presses it between his fingers like a trigger.

JESTER
Guess you're right. So... what now?

Shadow takes a single step forward. The metal creaks beneath his boot. A beat. Then silence again. Tension coils tight.

SHADOW
Now you choose. Same as always.

Jester tilts his head, eyes glinting beneath the dim light. He doesn't answer. Instead, he tosses the coin high into the air.

JESTER
Heads, I vanish.
Tails... we finish this.
