Not yet completed.. but I very much like what I've been playing so far.

I like the movement and blade jumping. Music is good and atmospheric and weapons so far all feel good. Same with artifacts. Secrets are well hidden. But I like that there is a powerup to help find secrets too if you want to use it that is.

The limited save system feels fine I've yet to run out of Soul Teathers and it adds an extra layer of caution to the gameplay. Those who prefer unlimited saves there is an option for it too. Personally limited saves feels more rewarding to me and gives me old school survival horror vibes (think Resident Evil's Ink Ribbons)

Level design is great and I love the modelwork and textures.

All in all even though I haven't completed it yet I'm very satisfied with the end product.

Cultic: Chapter One

Created by 1 Developer Jason Smith "Jasozz" this is quite the achievement and is a great game.

Now lets get the obvious out of the way. Yes there are comparisons too be made to Monoliths Blood

You wake up having seemingly been dead
TNT Weapon and Robed Cultists

But if you go in expecting Blood type gameplay this is not what you'll be getting.

First off TNT gameplay is way more versatile than in Blood, and Headshots matter unlike in Blood where many enemies don't have location based damage.

Just to give an example how versatile TNT is you can throw them in a cluster where you cut open the bundle and send individual single sticks of TNT flying around.

You can combine TNT with a molotov cocktail to devastating effect.

And you can throw unlit TNT which you can then explode with your gun.

Weapons can also be upgraded.

And player movement is quite agile. With sliding, kicks and dodging just to name a few.

Music is also excellent.

Now I haven't completed the game yet. But already I can say without a doubt that this is a great game with great gameplay and music.

And all made by one developer amazing.

A great remaster once again by Nightdive. Graphics and Music are updated. Better feeling controls and cut content added back in. Overall it looks and sounds better than ever. And this is the best version of the game.

SiN Gold update received for free as I already owned SiN Episodes.

Good old FPS sadly released in the shadow of Half-Life originally and in a buggy state. Since fixed with patches. This new NightDive version 1.13 added Wages of Sin by 2015. As well as some fixes and native Widescreen support.

I still love this game and it's interactivity as well as branching paths in the Single Player story where doing something in one level influences what happens in another to an extent. A great throwback FPS all in all.

A great return to the good old Build Engine (Eduke32 version). Fun retro gameplay. A great visual style. Nice soundtrack. Fun secrets and good difficulty levels. All in all this feels right at home with other great Build Engine games like Shadow Warrior, Duke Nukem 3D and Blood.

The most thought provoking mod is now a full standalone game. And it's still just as funny and clever in it's writing as it's mod counterpart is.

Then again maybe game isn't the right term for this. I'd prefer calling it an experience. And I don't mean that in a negative way.

This is Video Game Art for me. Thought provoking, and it makes you feel and question what is a "story" and why should we follow it, when we could just as well trail off and do our own thing.

So please if you want an experience you won't soon forget. Let it be this game.
