This is, by far, the best VR experience out there right now, and does an excellent job of demonstrating how great the medium is for storytelling when done right. If you aren't able to play, please try to find a VR arcade or a friend with a headset and give it an hour, you'll be looking for a way to play for yourself in no time. This really needs to be experienced before writing it off as a fad or a gimmick! Presentation overall is second to none, and while some mechanics like jumping are deliberately simplified to appeal to a wider audience, I had absolutely no issue with using them even though I personally prefer having less comfort options enabled in most VR games. I hope this leads more developers to try and copy this kind of presentation in VR, and it shows Valve can still make incredible games. In the meantime, I'll go back to holding out hope for more Half Life, VR or otherwise!

side note -A few reviews I have seen complain about the left-handed control flip - I play with the option enabled where I can in most games, and found the control flip is absolutely fine after a minute or so, and I was able to complete the game without difficulty (head-oriented movement)
