AMID EVIL is one of the most unspeakably beautiful games I have ever played. It perfectly melds low-poly models and pixelated sprites with advanced modern lighting techniques to create intricate, detailed, and frankly stunning environments that are unlike any I have ever encountered before.

While the environments are the star of the show here, the weapons, enemies, and combat are perfectly honed to create a truly dynamic retro FPS experience. Each weapon has its own purpose when dealing with the variety of enemies that each present new and interesting challenges for the player to overcome. The weapons are not only really cool to look at, but are also extremely fun and satisfying to use. The sound design complements all aspects of both the combat and the environment to create a perfect blend of atmosphere and heart-pumping action.
