Early Access Review
Enjoying the game and it's current progression. After Diablo 2, this is the only game that has kept me replaying it over and over with Hardcore characters.
Im enjoying it's progression, as maybe Im somewhat of a boomer, while it seems newer generations (POE1 babies) absolutely dislike not getting dopamine shots every 3 seconds while having seizures meanwhile the screen is exploding in flashing colors 300% of the time, while playing with only 1 finger over the mouse.
If you have well formed limbs and 5 fingers in each hand, im sure you will enjoy the game.

This game has tons of good intentions but fails horribly in it's gameplay and empty spaces.

It feels more of a chore than an actual game. You have to travel through almost empty maps (there is barely any enemies, and most of the time if not all, you can just skip them), to unlock the boss fight. Most of the maps look great, but the emptiness and how huge these map can be, will get irrititating real soon.

Boss fights are ok. At least two of them are decent, the rest are just... ok. You end up with a sour taste, the combat system could have been so much better. It is not fluent, and it feels that the perspective, along with the hit-boxes, makes everything more irritating.

It isnt challenging. It just gives you a bad combat system that challenges you because of how awful it is. But the bosses are so meh that in the end it doesnt matter. You just jump to evade, hit a couple of times, run around to evade some more, rinse and repeat. Skills? Worthless most of the time, because you dont really need them...

Until you get to the last boss. Here, everything that irritated you before about the combat system, will get exacerbated. Perspective, hitboxes, uselessness of skills get so much more aggravated that at this point, you wish you werent commited to finish the game.

A chore. With awful combat system.

But with good art. Good music. Decent story line but it is so short that it doesnt matter that much.

I wanted to like this game but I hate I even gave it the chance.

Just a State of the Art game.

Heart touching story, told in the most simple-yet beautiful way possible.

Awesome, mind-blowing graphics. I dont even know what else to say, other than this game is just gorgeous. It is a playable illustration.

Soundtrack and audio FX: Outstanding. If it wasnt by the OST that I found on youtube while working, I still wouldnt even know what "Ori" is. I got attracted to the game by it's own Soundtrack. That's remarkable. Also, it has Aeralie Brighton as one of the vocal artists, and she is just Incredible.

Gameplay, it is actually really enjoyable for a platformer. It has cool, simple mechanics that transforms into an incredibly manoeuvrable character if actions were performed correctly; Being that said, it doesnt feel like "over the top" or stupid. It fits the game, perfectly.

To be honest, I was just incredibly satisfied when the prologue ended. That sold the game to me.

Manly tears. 10/10 game.

Among the many 3D software options that cost hundred of dollars, and use a ton of space in your hard drive (5gb most of them!), you find this little, yet wonderful 3D application. It doesnt cost even one dollar, will take less than 100~mb of space of your hard drive, and you can actually do most of the things you can do with any other 3D application.

You could even call Blender 3D a suite: You can Model, Animate, Paint, Sculpt, Particles simulation, Composite images and Videos, you can track videos, put sound on them. Virtually, you can do everything in this software. And it costs nothing. (Sure, After Effects, Zbrush, are way better at what they do than Blender. But still, Blender can, and that means a lot to freelancers)

Is Blender worth learning when there are other professional 3D apps? Yes. Blender is a tool, and a tool is as good as the person using it. I have worked with 3dsmax and Maya in the past, softwares where I thought I wouldnt be able to get good at modelling at all, until I met Blender. I have also never missed 3Dsmax or Maya, mainly because Blender is so Shortcut dependant that it makes you work faster. As simple as that.

Also, Blender has probably the most active community. You found a bug and reported it? Probably it will be fixed the next morning, or in a couple of days.

Blender is a really good, free and OpenSource application. It is still a necessity to know other and more common softwares like 3dsmax and Maya for most of jobs, just to include your Blender work in a pipeline correctly.
