I really want to like this game, but while I enjoy the variety of digimon and digivolving them and whatnot, the core combat gameplay, story, and characters don't interest me.

A great classic style JRPG. It's a definite improvement over the first one. There is heavy influence from early Final Fantasy, in both gameplay and music.

Nothing like waiting for an opponent to combo off for ten minutes even though you know you've already lost because "True duelists never surrender!"

You know the games you play where you hate the game but you still play it? That's me with this. I am playing it, but I do not recommend it.

If you're a fan of the original and looking for something a little different... don't bother with this yet. Consider Grim Dawn or Lost Epoch instead. Hell I'd take Diablo 4 over this.

I actually enjoy this more than the base Elden Ring, the pick up and play nature of it appeals to me more than spending 50 hours grinding if I wanna try out a new build.

I liked the game so much that even though I was playing it for free via family sharing I went ahead and bought the game just to support the devs.

I might do a second playthrough or NG+ at some point just because I played the game with French voices and the English voices are supposed to be pretty good too.

I quite liked this game, well the story and characters anyway.

The gameplay was fine... but it was obviously just a vehicle for the story. The difficulty quickly becomes trivial, but I suppose that's part of the point of the game... which is a problem in a way. The game WANTS to feel like a chore at times, so you sympathize more with the MC, but while I get why the game wants you to feel that way... the fact remains it still feels like a chore at times.

I have heard some people say the hints on what you need to do were vague but I never felt entirely lost, though it did take me 50 loops to beat the game a lot of those loops were me being stupid.

A fun little game with some oldschool vibes. I enjoyed it well enough for what it was. If you liked this game you might also like Crescent Tower and Scarmonde.

A wonderful remake of a game that starts off an amazing series. I really like how they blended the gameplay from the more recent games with the mechanics of the first game.

It was a little on the easy side, but that's not unusual for Trails games.
