There's a reason this is the most well reviewed game on steam. Even if you don't care about hololive, This is a completely free, no dlc or micro transactions, well made little game. That almost never happens.

A great game but this and Rebirth and whatever the 3rd one will be called are NOT substitutes for the original despite what the marketing may say. If you truly want to get into and experience the world of ff7, play the original first and then onto these. Despite years of fans begging, there still isn't a true substitute for the original, If you can't handle the original's crunchiness you can atleast mod it pretty good.

An Amazing way to play one of the best jrpgs of all time. My only complaint has nothing to do with what is in the game but rather what isn't. Most of the people that were requesting a remake for persona 3 were doing it because there wasn't really a definitive way to play it, persona 3 fes and persona 3 portable both had their own list of pros and cons, and people really wanted this to unite them with one definitive version of p3. This game lacks major features from both portable and fes although has a lot of it's own features that are good in their own right.

A really fun game to grab a couple friends and play with the ingame voice chat for immersion. I'm not a huge fan of horror, and this is just the right amount of spooky for me.

Really well done with the pixel artstyle and music swapping between 8-bit and 16-bit style. The gameplay is also very fun and the story and characters are entertaining in a goofy sort of way.

If you imagine all the good things and all the bad things about old school JRPGs, This game has most of the good things and few of the bad things. Probably my favorite square enix game.

I played this game through twice on ps4 before playing it again on pc, so ive got maybe 350 hours in it. It's very fun stylish and has banger music. Even if you aren't generally a fan of jrps this game has something to love for most people that play it

Banger art, Banger game-play, hard as hell and not for the faint of heart. Biggest complaint is parrys pausing time for dramatic effect, cool in single-player, absolutely crippling in co-op. Even when you know your friend is about to parry it is still jarring. The final part of the king dice battle is what really made me realize that, both players not taking damage in one round of the marching cards attack is nearly impossible. But the same attack in single-player isn't that big of a deal.

All of the shantaes are pretty fun if you like metroidvania style gameplay, this one is personally my favorite game in the franchise at the time. This game is absolutely great but i can't imagine this bug that is still in the game should be that hard to fix and roll out an update for.
!!! BUG !!! if you play this game on a monitor with a refresh rate larger than 60 the game will run faster than it's supposed to, for me a 144 hz monitor made the game run at ~2.3x game speed which is basically unplayable, way too fast.
I found a fix for nvidia cards. right click on the desktop and go to nvidia control panel. Manage 3D settings-->Program Settings-->select shantae and the pirate's curse. scroll down and find Max Frame Rate and set it to 60. reboot game if you still have it open.
